Well it doesn't "starve" you. But you will be hungry. Your stomach is used to your average size meal. With Slim Fast you just get the daily vitamins and nutrients without over doing it. Most of us eat an unbalanced diet and get too much of certain things. With the Slim Fast you only get enough to be "healthy". So will you be hungry YES. Will you starve. NO. If you do the diet as directed it should work great. GOOD LUCK!! Dave

I don't think the product starves you. More likely you will be full with one shake. Meaning, it will make you eat less. I've never tried it. I don't need to lose weight, but I'm sure it is exactly as described.
