-
Not at all! I am seen as a caring person!
-
Sometimes I do. sometimes not even a number.
-
Yes! a nine digit one.
-
No...but its getting that way...almost everything now gives you a number to remember!!!!!
-
I am just a number in society on a country scale, or on the scale of my company. However, I am very much a person in my family, group of friends and workplace.
-
I've never felt like a number, even when standing in the line at the deli counter holding up a paper waiting for my turn to shop:-)
-
In some ways, on some level. I'm only very important to those who are close to me. We're all special but we are only a very small part of a large body.
-
No I don't feel that way, although I realize that they would like for us to see ourselves that way.
-
I don't feel like one although I know I am one number in the stadistics of young single moms
-
I hope so. When "they" start taking the time to recognize me personally, I'm getting to close to whatever truth "they" are trying to keep a secret. Then I have to make a new passport. What a pain!
-
Yes.
-
of course! When I was born before I even had a name I had a number attached to me..then I was given a social security number and then a driver's license number and then an employee number and then a tax ID number and on and on it goes...we are all just numbers in a big corporate/political machine....and as long as we remain good little 1's and 0's and keep the machine running smoothly, Big Brother leaves us alone...for the most part.....
-
I feel like a number relative to our government and to big corporations. That's why I always speak up and express my dissatisfaction when I feel I am not being treated fairly.
-
Alas, we are all but numbers.
-
Yes we all have one number besides famous people and celebs that have numbers 1-1000.
-
At the DMV I do
-
To society at large, yes..I've had my social security card since I was 14. But to my family and friends? Absolutely not. I'm Rosie..a 3-dimensional, flesh-and-blood unique individual, as they are to me. I like it that way. :) ((hugs)) Fame and fortune is not my carrot..I like anonymity very much. :) ((hugs))
-
Yes ,But not to my Family.
-
To the average person, yes. To the people who know me, no!
-
According to my social security card I am....
-
Yes. In the panorama of society we are all totally insignificant. Even people who have acheived great things, because if they hadn't somebody else probably would. On a community basis no, we have relevance and significance. But societally, each and any one of us could drop dead right now and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference to society.
-
yeah, pretty much.
-
I think I'm number 1!
-
Yes everyone is just a number. I heard this phase used a lot in my old job. You were a nobody, if they got rid of you, you could be easily replaced. That was their attitude. Its disgusting really!
-
Nope. I refused to be categorized, digitized, numerized, psychologized, psychoanalized, plagerized, eulogized, or otherwise bent, folded, spindled, stapled or mutilated! : D
-
I would prefer it if I was. At least I would have a proper 'place'.
-
We're all numbers in society, of course. But we're all numbers that count. HA HA- I JUST REALISED MY UNINTENTIONAL JOKE L0LZ. But seriously, we are all special :)
-
Would you rather be just a "name" in our society?
-
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe !! I just hope I am among the top ten =)
-
I feel that way far too often. I have an employee number I use every day and it seems my social security number identifies me more than my name.
