Sounds like a double corruption of the word, hermaphrodite. The meaning is an organism (or person) having the sexual organs of both sexes (From Greek, Hermes and Aphrodite). It's more commonly pronounced with the single corruption, morphadite. Putting dike (dyke) on the end yields a double corruption confising the very real and rare condition with butch lesbians, who typically have a perfectly normal set of female sex organs but adopt an outward appearance and behavior that is masculine.
