  • I don't. They do more for us than I think we realize.
  • I don't they keep us all safe :)
  • I don't dislike The Police, he's a good friend. OH, you mean the local police? They do their job, the states do more than the locals do.
  • I support the police but in some cities they seem to get bored and make bigger deals about little things. There is a city by me that sends like 5 cars for a simple thing like a fist fight in the parking lot.
  • Because sometimes they abuse their authority.like when their is traffic they put on their sirens and squirm through to get their butts out of traffic when in reality they really don't have no where to go.I think that if they could they would book someone for driving while dirty. lol okay just kidding about that part.
  • there songs were just shit thats all
  • Roxanne was decent song.
  • Because they TASER me all the time..no wait I like that:):)
  • I like police I have afew friends that are policemen and I wouldn't do there job I couldn't handle all the Idiots that they have to deal with,,,,I tip my hat to them for what they have to do;)
  • I dislike police who abuse their authority. Most police are peacekeepers and do an outstanding job; it’s the few who give the rest a bad image.
  • I like the police, for without them, we would not have Sting!
  • I don't... "dislike" them... i just wish they didn't stop 1600 cars every month in my city (this is true figures, it was on the wall in our town hall, 1600 (appx) vehicles pulled over in one month)
  • I must have seen one too many episodes of Cops, I guess. And although I do acknowledge that shows following law enforcement have a bit of a natural negative light on them simply because they show the police busting people, but not some of the things that happen when the police aren't around... I also acknowledge that quite a few of the police officers I've seen in action (and a few I've met, as a matter of fact), really lived up the nickname of "Pig". All in all though, I don't have much against the police as a whole. I strongly dislike certain unjust laws than the police enforce, and slightly dislike anyone who willingly enforces them, but I don't bear major grudges against cops unless they're the sort of sick little piggy who takes up the job for the sadistic pleasure of oppressing people who are either harmless, or who have become harmful mostly as a reaction to being oppressed. And although there are more of those sick little piggies than some might think, they're far from the whole profession.
  • i dont dislike them, they are there to protect us and it's only their job.. we all have to earn money some how..
  • i dont, they cant handle being wrong
  • If you lived where i do you'd understand, here your not just guilty ~ Your down right sum just because you live here.
  • It is the fact that you are guilty until proved innocent
  • I don't really hate police. A lot of my friends are police officers so they don't really bother me. Now MP's (military police) scare the shit out of me. Why I have no idea, they just do.
  • I LOVE the police. Protective manly men in uniform...mmm...with vibrating weapons that leave you weak kneed and practically sobbing on the floor. They feature prominently in my naughtiest ...oh, I'm still typing? lol
  • Actually I don't dislike them at all. Every experience I've had with the Police has been positive..well, there was one who nailed me for speeding and he was a by-the-book guy, but I deserved it so can't complain about that. Otherwise, they've been most helpful. One night around midnight I was crying and driving to a hospital where my mom had been taken and I wasn't sure how to get there..I was bordering on hysterical. Of course I got stopped by a policeman..when I explained my situation he said "follow me" and he put on his siren and lights and sped me to the hospital without delay. See what I mean? :) ((hugs))
  • I love police. Especially those who TASER, like Tjoe said. No, really, all of my experiences with police have been good so I have no reason to dislike police.
  • I dont dislike them. I have a few friends who are police officers.:)
  • I don't I think they're kind of hot in those uniforms!!! lol
  • Because. They hate me and I hate them. When me and my friends skateboard by the courthouse, they kick us out. Or like the time I was charged with assualt on a officer or something because I kicked him on the shin.
  • I dislike the police because they remind me that I can't just do whatever I want in life without running the risk of getting in trouble. It's more like some of the laws that I have a problem with. I have some friends who are becoming LAPD and they are some really cool people.
  • I dont.
  • Also it pisses me off how some cops are more concerned with laws than they are with safety. Like an officer can bust you for having a sack of weed even though doing so does not make anything any safer, or give you a ticket for not doing a complete stop at a stop sign, when you are 100 % sure that it is safe to go.
  • I have no problem with the police
  • I dislike the ones that abuse their power. They eventually get caught and brought to justice.
  • I don't dislike the police. Sometimes I get irrate because they don't hand out tickets to the people who park on the pavement outside my house instead of in the parking bays.
  • I don't. Most of them are good people doing a good job.
  • I was on a dark road one time and I was apprehensive of the only other car on the road which was tailgating me. I changed lanes in hopes that the car would pass me, but the car changed lanes as well. So I was fearful and I started to speed up. It turns out that the freak in the car was a cop. I was issued a ticket for speeding! They'll do stuff like this, but they can't find out who stole my car.
  • Over regulation, excessive power, corruption, another way of making the poor man and his money soon be parted
  • I dont dis-like police but i think they're always out to get someone. This one cop chased my brother around for two years. When my dad called three weeks after the cop arrested my brother for the third time, the other sheriff said they let him go because he didn't do his job. And was kicked off the force for drug inviolation's. They always do this stuff but they still cant find missing children, or find out who the zodiac was.
  • They are just doing their jobs and are very tired people pandering to all the politicians and unruly public!I don't dislike them,I just feel sorry for the job they do!
  • i love the police, one of my favorite bands!
  • i don't dislike them. I respect them and give them not excuse to cause me grief.
  • I don't..I love them:)
  • There always there at the wrong time if you know what i mean.
  • I don't dislike them... I just wish that they would quit and get a real job... making something!
  • Paid two years of college tuition in speeding tickets and suspension fees this summer... they can't expect any hugs from me.
  • No I don't dislike them. Who can dislike them so much that they wouldn't ring them in an emergency?! And oh.. Police the band are good :)
  • They go out of their way to find an excuse to arrest the victim first. If i ever saw a cop that was in a life threatening situation, I would not offer any assistance. What goes around, comes around.
  • I don't dislike the police. In my world, only those with something to hide or a guilty conscience have anything to fear from the police.
  • As much as I would like to be a Policeman, having to watch them display like superman in films,I detest the somewhat unproffessional discharge of duties by some members of the police force in my district. This makes me to believe that there are kinds of police guys. They're suppose to be uniform in the act.Human they are but by way of training, they ought to be God on earth whom we seek refuge in.I fashioned my own way of handling things that are supposed to be catered for by the Police since the day my girlfriend and I were unjustly bundled into a van in the front of my street only to be released after we had paid somemoney in the station.and several other"catch".what a horrible experience!even having to see there DPO kicking those who had no cash on them.we were picked at 9:42pm and had to pass our night there because we could not leave at the time we were released.no one was granted audience. Those who dared were flogged with horse-whip.Until now we have no idea why that happened and still happening to many others.I want that station wiped out.The police is good but those "things"should be made to suck my ass.
  • Only when they are corrupt.
  • I love Police officers. They put their life in danger every time they put on that uniform. They have all my respect.
  • there job is to protect us and sometimes they fail that job
  • I don't dislike the police...or Sting for that matter.
  • Because I live in a town where there is too many of them and they have nothing better to do that harass people driving around in better cars than them. I have been pulled over and had my entire car gone over simply because it has a P on it and had it defected. They said they pulled me over for going through an orange light. And that they could charge me a thousand dollar fine for going through it. As well as that I have tried to call them a few times when I myself was in danger. The last time I tried to called them for help they asked me the street name 4 times. I didn't know the street name so I told them a landmark but they wouldn't accept that (it's a small town they would have known where I was) then when I found out what street it was they proceeded to ask me my name 5 times. In the end I got frustrated and said can you please send a car now I'm scared and the officer on the phone snapped at me "Don't use that tone with me!!". I gave up and hung up in the end.
  • The police are necessary to society. Try to imagine being surrounded by crime and chaos, not being able to walk down a street without fear to life or limb, constant anxiety about the safety of your loved ones. I respect their role, most are good individuals with a keen sense of fairness, justice, desire to help their fellow man. Compared to the corruption of other countries, there are few bad apples in our continent. I know my city's cops are tops!
  • I don't dislike the police as a whole. I do dislike the ones that have power-trip issues and abuse their authority and escalate situations by goading their suspects verbally. The last officer I saw act this way was obviously disliked by his co-officers as well so I don't think this is an us vs them issue.
  • I don't. Never have, never will. Even when I read about "bad cops" in the news. There are bad apples in EVERY profession, but the police seem to get a bigger rap because they're always under the microscope and in the public eye. Hence the prejudice.
  • Why do you assume I dislike the police? Just the opposite, I have respect for the police and depend upon them to help insure my safety. They are, however, human and not all are respect worthy or working for my benefit. Nevertheless, the majority deserve our support.
  • Because they're power-mad assholes. If i do something wrong, I expect someone to correct me. But the difference between an asshole cop and a regular cop is how they correct you. cops suck.
  • I don't dislike anyone and find it absurd. Dislike has to be earned, like everything else.
  • Because they pulled me over for no got damn reason. I was pulled over because supposedly my backlights were malfunctioning -My lights work just fine >=/ that's not what really got me pissed though. At THAT time I had forgotten my driver's license and instead of looking up my DL number like he was suppose to he got my car taken away. I had to show up to court the next day and even the judge was like "wow... wth? what a douche bag. Just take you're car already, this guy was a dumbass."
  • I don't dislike them but the fact that in their eyes you are always a suspect bothers me. And they talk like robots!
  • I dislike some of them, because they let their power go to their heads and they become arrogant asses.
  • I dont dislike them, just disapprove of how they handle things.
  • I dislike the police because they lie, cheat, steel and kill to protect each other.
  • In the last 44 years as a police officer, i have finally discovered that most people actually do like police officers, once they get to know them. We do stop a lot of cars on traffic violations, but this has a twofold purpose. more criminals are caught on traffic stops, than any other means. issuing a traffic citation is no extra money in my pocket. In order to be a good cop, a person has to be a people person. most officers are this type...some are not. Lets face it, for the first five years as a police officer, each cop becomes a "hot dog" just to see how much power he has. we all go through it, including myself. after a while, age and experience take over and you settle down to helping people, more than writing tickets or arrests. Police officers are human just like everyone else. we wear pants like every other man or woman. we eat the same foods and go to the same movies. one rookie told me one time, "its just a job". its not exactly that. we have the power to take a persons freedom from them. this power of arrest is precious and should be used with extreme assurdness. Yes, some police officers should not be police officers and we all know this. this is especially true in small towns, where training and discipline are almost extinct. some officers allow their powers to go to their heads and do mistreat the public. i am glad to say that this is a very small majority. Please do not judge all police officers by the actions of just a few. All of us are not bad people.
  • Because, They thought I was breaking into a garage once, When it was my own, and they ran after me, I legged it, He ran though some prickals ( Went on my record as I harmed him ) Then when I was running up some stairs, He grabbed on my jacket and tried to pull me backwards, So I grabbed his hand and flung it of me, He fell down the stairs I was let of that he feel down the stairs as it was his own fault for grabbing me jacked It was put on my record I ran from police It was put on record I got a policemen hurt, When he ran though a bush And many other reason as well why I hate them :)
  • Because, especially down south i see someone doing something wrong, and the police or sheriff, just pretend they didn't see anything. I really don't dislike them. But they need to do their job like a pro.
  • i don't ... i like them ... they've saved my life a good few times now!
  • Why would I dislike them?
  • I never said I did. For anyone who is willing to place their life, on the line for our safety. Should also get our respect for doing so. ...........M.C.S.
  • I don't. I dislike the cops who abuse their authority.
  • Yeah. No sense of humor. See video.
  • I didn't you must have misunderstood what I said. They are very hard working dedicated individuals who put their life on the line for peanuts.
  • Do these look like I dislike the police? Cops - (MY take) Law Enforcement - http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2279450 Why are cops on AB criticized and DRed? - http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2212210 Is it dangerous to be a cop? - http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2525377 Not all cops are alike (not all are bad) - http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2794631 Why do people love firefighters but hate cops? - http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/3295987 (with tribute videos)
  • They hide somewhere, and spend the day, eating and sleeping. i honestly saw that once.
  • they got to much damn authority
  • our local barney fife's are arrogant, egotistical, bullies and frankly, i wouldn't trust them!
  • ya i pretty much hate all cops. I'll try everyday to avoid them as much as possible. But for some reason they still find me. Im a 20 year old college student been goin to school for the 3 years, ive made the deans list and the presidents list. College kids drink, not a new concept. I told the officers (after they came into the house uninvited and sat everybody down and proceeded to write tickets) that im 20 years old and that i had one beer, which was 100% true. He said well "your underage and its illegal" The same cop let one of my buddies leave after he told him he was drinking too and that he was underage, no ticket. Same department, different cop, my buddy(20) got stopped outside of bar by a cop, he made him submit to a breathalizer, and he blew a .09. The officer let him go and gave my other friend, who didnt submit to a breatherlizer, an M.I.C. that was about 3 months ago, both of them. 3 weeks ago, in a different town, i was celebrating with my friend for his 21st at a local club. I didnt eat anything before and got a little too drunk. After being sick in the bathroom and noticably having difficulty walking i knew i needed to remove myself from the situation in order to not make a scene and bother anyone. Our Designated Driver for the night let me have his keys and i went out to his truck so i could just lie down and sleep it off. 12:30 i get to the truck, get in the passenger seat and lie down, falling asleep pretty fast. hour and a half later at 2:00am there is a knock at the car window. I look up and and the officer told me to step out and show him some ID. Being as tired and out of it as i was i just got out and grabbed my first id in my wallet, which was the fake i used to get in the club with, half not thinking about it and half thinking he would just look at it and let me go on my way. but nope, he decided to take it to his car and scan it. Next thing i know hes putting me in handcuffs and im off to jail. As he was arresting me he told me the fake is why im goin in, and that if i hadn't given that to him he would of just wrote me a ticket instead. Either way he was gonna to fuck me. I wasn't bothering anyone, i was being smart and removing myself from the situation so as to avoid dealing with assholes. But nope they found me and shoved their long dick of the law up my ass again. oh and it was only 2 months since my last offense, so im still on probation and now i get to lose my license because i drank 6 months from being 21 for my best friends birthday party and was caught sleeping in our Designated Drivers truck. It sucks too because that guy who's 21st it was is going to be a cop and he knows how i feel. Yes it sucks, but the actions of a few cops have made me resent everything about them. There never there when you need em and there always there when you dont want em. Here think about this, name 2 times that an officer was there for you and actually made your day better, and after your done with whatever the situation was you thought to yourself, man im so glad that cop was there cause he definitely just made my day way better. As opposed to the usual thoughts of everyone who finishes dealing with a cop and thinking god what an asshole, man he totaly just fucked my day up. For me i cant think of any one time a cop has been there to help me. Theyve only ruined my day multiple times, and these past two times are financially devastating. So whatever, a cop could be cool as shit, i still dont want anything to do with em and i try to avoid them at all costs, but they still wanna ruin my day.
  • They didn't give me a job, even though I passed all their poxy tests.
  • i love them. i don't like getting speeding tickets, but i don't dislike the police.
  • I don't dislike police. I just don't want them behind me when I'm in my car listening to a really hot CD.
  • I hate them.
  • I like the police because if they weren't any there would be no dirty herry.
  • The only reason people don't like the police is because they are doing something wrong.
  • I can't remember if I've answered this or not - but I don't dislike the police, I just dislike certain officers who think that just because they wear the uniform, they have the right to treat me like a piece of garbage when all I needed was help. Still, in general I've been able to rely on them & most of them haven't been complete jerks.
  • they are rude dishonest and very dirty i`ve always wanten to be a cop,but i`ve seen alot of things cops do.they try to plant things on people, they kill and say it was self defense.they pull women over for sexually actvities.they turn their heads on some things i didnt see anything, even when it comes to their families and friends my point if you are going to do a job do it right and be fair about it dont let your brother or friend go for speeding and write a ticket to the next car that comes by.how can a cop be inoccent by kill a prisoner with his hands in handcuffs behind his back the man was beaten to death by a person that is to protect us
  • they dont do their job right..
  • They lie and they steal. They are just a big gang. Oh, also the beat the shit out of me and my friend for smoking a joint and then throwing it in the bushes when they came.
  • They are liars. They lie to get what they want. They say we cant lie to them. But they lie to us. They fabricate evidence. They say someone says something, and they didnt. They say they have evidence and they dont. They carry a gun. Just the fact that they have a gun on their hip, is an intimadation. They lie on the witness stand. They have a liar's code of ethics.
  • I do not dislike the police; it's a job where an officer's life can be placed on the line (and therefore their family's too). The police, in my town, vastly contribute to community causes and to the overall safety of the area. :) +++
  • I don't dislike the police as a whole, but I do think that many of them are assholes. I think a lot of them are the guys who sucked and didn't get much playing time in high school in whatever sport they played, so now years later they're still dealing with it and so they become dickhead cops with attitudes.
  • I don't. But when I was younger, this one cop insisted on trying to get me to do something stupid so that he could have an excuse to arrest me. He tried pushing me, calling me names - I was 12.
  • I do not have a problem with the police. But what I will say is that I do not like how they abuse the fact that they have authority. It bothers me to see when they beat up on people or just cause trouble with people for no reason.
  • i dont like them due to the fact they misrepresnt the law to you. they ask double questions that lead to searches. they invade peoples space and private property whether it be vehical or home under the pretence that they tricked you into waving your rights. they always want cooperation but, use your good nature to violate your rights. they are not you friends. never, NEVER trust a cop.
  • i think everyone needs to give more credit to police. they risk their lives everyday for no more than about $60,000 a year, and for people they do not even know. i mean, would YOU risk YOUR life for someone YOU didnt know?????
  • i like em actually..
  • Many do not like them because they abuse the authority to simply give some a hard time. Many officers have an idea that EVERYONE is guilty of something and they treat even innocent people as though they have violated a law. Those that do not behave wrong towards citizens get caught up in all of it because they belong to the same organization. Just as Catholic Priests are "labled" by many as being inappropiate to young children but not all of them are that way. Being affiliated with a group of people that have done wrong things makes people think ALL are bad or wrong.
  • Please remember that 98% of police officers are honest and dedicated to their profession. I guess its the 2% that people will always remember and not the good 98%. Being a police officer for 44 years, i have not intionally mistreated anyone. i have sometimes lied to get to the truth to solve a homocide, but the Supreme Court gives us this authority. Criminals, for the most part, are not stupid. the police have to be one step ahead of criminals in order to save lives and protect property. Yes, sometimes we have come down pretty hard on certain people, this is true. but, it was always for a reason and not just to pick on a person at-large. Being an officer is like no other profession. you deal with the three personalities of people. the scum of the earth, the middle income people and the higher ups. Officers are always on the alert and defensive in order to protect themselves and the public. Its takes a certain type of person to be an officer. to take the heat when a person spits in their face, to be called every name in the book and there is nothing an officer has not been seen, smelled, felt or heard. nothing. The job is mostly psychological, not physical. I was blessed to have made it 44 years without too serious of bodily injuries. some other officers cannot make this statement. From day one, we have our badge pinned on our uniform knowing that each day may be our last. we know this and our family knows this. But, we never faulter. Officers are more educated today, than ever before. this education brings new thinking into the profession. We may not be paid the best salary, but that does not hinder us from protecting you and your family. Its not the money, its the pride. Remember, all police officers have one goal in mind each day and that is to make through eight hours without being injured or killed. We would give our lives to protect yours and......... We don't even know you.
  • Because 50% of the ones ive ran into are twats.
  • I dont dislike the police. some police officers have bad reputations. i try not to judge people
  • Their music gets repetitive after you've heard it for 20 years or so
  • I don't dislike them at all. Heck I went to highschool with some of the officers around where I live. :-)
  • I dislike the police in my town because they are judgmental and harrass the people with drug problems and the underage drinkers when they should be trying to figure out all the missing persons cases and a few murder cases that has happened in this town over the last 15 years that they dont have a clue about. they spend too much time being dicks.
