I'd like to ask you a question before answering.Have you visited the temple personally and noticed the shadow not falling? Generally shadows won't fall on ground when sun is right on the top of your head.All other time the shadow is gonna fall on the ground.Just pay a visit and check the reality.I guess a myth has circulated a lot about the structure as it has been with other structures like "The Great Pyramids".Investigate and find out the truth.
