Who was it that said, "Salespersonship begins with the word 'No'"?
-
Once by my mother, Twice by my boss and i never take no for an answer off a girl. hehe
-
I am a negotiator. I never take no for an answer.
-
Depends on what I'm after. If I really want it, about a million. =P
-
no is unacceptable... there is always a way to make it work
-
Once does it for me.
-
wow I don't really know it hardly ever happens. If I had to guess though maybe twice.
-
Once usually keeps me out of trouble. If I go for more than once, my wife starts calling me "baby boy" for trying to get my own way.:(
-
If it's something that can't be done, fine, and they say more than no, like a reasonable "why". But if I'm just told no, I don't take it very well. I have to prove it to myself
-
Once..with one caveat. When it comes to offering food to people, I keep offering it..different things. I love to see people eating so a "no" when it comes to food means "keep asking" to me. But in everything else..I hear no, I accept it. The reason is when I tell someone no, I mean it and I don't want to be badgered! :) ((hugs))
-
Five times. Each time asking the question in a different way. It works.
-
Once is enough for Me;)!!
-
Tons unless I'm given a good reason
-
-3 times.
-
this is very hard to compute because I don't think the word "no" is a part of your vocabulary.
-
Just one time. Not like before when it took many times for it to sink in.
-
What does "No" mean?
-
I am a very shy person and I need only to be told once.
-
That depends - If I have to have something done(like repairing a difficult machine or writing difficult programmes) then I never accept NO. If it is a female and female related activities, then the first NO is good enough for me. Try logic with me and I may accept a NO, but not only for the sake of NO.
-
If you tell me, "no" to some offer or request, I will accept it. However I may ask if I can check back with you later in case (a) things have changed on your end or (b) the circumstances of my proposal have somehow changed to make the offer more attractive. I may also explore the possibility that I may not have presented my case well and ask for help from you in sharpening my presentation for others.

I think the answer to that lies in your interpretation of the word "accept". I am a follower of the phrase "I don't necessarily agree with your opinion but I will fight to the death your right to say it." In certain circumstances, there is a need to constantly fight the "not possibles." In New Zealand, we have, as do most countries, a constant battle against our road death toll. All sorts of strategies have been tried, from public education to penalties, with a lot of criticism. But this weekend is the third weekend in a row where there has not been one road fatality and so far we have the lowest road toll in 50 years, since records begun, partly due to the cost of petrol but also people being more careful generally. The end result speaks for itself about the need to keep pushing for a goal.
