Rush Limbaugh. After all, he's the most visible, prominent, and articulate conservative around. He is THE leader of the conservative movement. And although he called the recent election wrong, expecting the pollsters to continue to function as they had in the past by being inaccurate in favor of Democratic candidates, the pollsters' accuracy fooled a LOT of people. Maybe even Pres. Bush and Karl Rove.

Me! I plan on running as an divorced, openly practicing Wiccan who is pro-choice, anti-discrimination (which means I support gay marriage, women and gays in the military, and a lot of other social issues), pro human-rights (to be read: anti-torture), a supporter of the Constitution (right to privacy - aka: no domestic wire-tapping without a warrant, separation of church and state, etc), tree-hugging, dirt-worshipping environmentalist who has, herself, had an abortion. I will run on a platform of war as a last result in self-defense. Well hell, at least I am not a drug addict. ;P I figure I have about as much chance as...well...a snowball in hell. Seriously, though, it is way too early for me to guess. I'd love to see Hillary or Obama in there. McCain and Gulliani are also very strong candidates. We have a lot of time to go, and a lot of things can happen in two years.
-
Obama! He's the best potential candidate. If I could vote, I'd vote for him if he runs.
-
....I heard Hilary Clinton might be running..............geez. I think it's about time for our first female president...just not...her.
-
As odd as it sounds, I think John McCain may be next. I'm not saying I would vote for him, but I think the next two years of a Democrat congress will show that the Dems don't have answers any more than the Republicans do. McCain is viewed as a "moderate" and therefore less objectionable than Clinton would be to the "undecideds" and to the independents.
-
Whoevers heading the Democrats against Bush, most probably. If you guys vote HIM in again, you're a bit stupid.
-
I am Canadian but have always taken a keen interest in American politics. It is abit early to predict the next U.S. President but the next one in 2 years will definately have a different look to it. The name McCain, Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama are definately popular but all are more likely to be seen on a ticket in a Vice Presidential role. The difference I see is that the key candidates come from the North East. If I was to predict the Presidential candidates for the 2008 election, it would be Joe Biden (for the Democrates) and Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani (for the Republicans). All three, have significant experience and capital.
-
Dr. Phill!!!!!!!!!!!!! jkjk
-
Bill Gate$, oh sorry I thought you said who is going to be the "real" most powerful man in the US!
-
robert downey jr.
-
Jimmy Buffet. Boy would that be interesting!
-
I would really love for Rudy Giuliani to be the next President of the United States. I think that he is well-liked by both parties, in general. He is cool under pressure and a true leader. He accomplished a lot during his tenure as mayor of NYC, and it's just unfortunate that he did not run against Hillary Clinton after all, as he had a good chance of winning.

That's a good trick, calling leftist abolition of free speech and free press a right-wing characteristic. In fact it's a left-wing characteristic and applies wherever they consolidate power. We see it in America where leftist university students attempt to censor any speaker on the right, even engaging in acts of violence to do so as happened six weeks ago at Columbia University--which isn't disciplining a single student. Acquiring a media monolopoly and suppressing dissent is leftist practice everywhere, and it's why they hate Rush Limbaugh so much--before him, they HAD a media monopoly, all the networks, all the big-city newspapers and all the major news magazines.
-
I hope it will be Barack Obama
-
George Bush, unless he has been ejected from office. However, on January 21st, 2009, it will be someone else, unless Bush has managed to change the constitution by then.
-
John McCain...hopefully
-
Maybe Hilary Clinton, But John Edwards is running again too......Who knows!
-
Barack Obama or Dave Chappelle.
-
Hopefully, somebody GIFTED at cleaning up tragic messes.

-
I THINK BAROCK OBAMA would mix things up a bit,i think its about time we have something new in the office.hopefully he will bring enlightenment back into the presidency
-
Alas, it does not matter. Democrats and Republicans are merely two sides of the same coin. The real unanswered and unasked question is, "Who determines and decides the votes of the electorial college?".
-
The winner of the 2008 Presidential election... hopefully! I'd hate to see the 2000 election fiasco all over again.
-
Hopefully Obama
-
John McCain if were lucky
-
Oprah Winfrey, or maybe she will be Vice President for Hillary Clinton; I really have no clue just guessing.
-
yeah i think obama has this 1 in the bag and it hasnt even started yet.
-
I'm hoping for Tom Vilsack with Evan Bayh as Vice President. Of course I was hoping Evan Bayh would run but he decided he most likely wouldn't win so he isn't going to try. Oh well there is always 2012 or 2016. He's a relativily young guy.
-
Obama. I hope.

Al Gore
-
Joseph biden.
-
Joseph biden.
-
A Bush-look-alike.... Just kidding. Joseph Biden

Since it's going to be Hillary against whoever wins the GOP nomination, then surely it will be who ever the Republican nominee is. Unless the Dems get smart and nominate anyone other than Hillary!
-
Kermit the frog or Buzz Lightyear( close call ).

Anyone but Bush is ok by me :o)

I hope it'll be John Edwards!

-
There's a chance it could be: Hilary Clinton. I hope she's not like her husband though...
-
Well I know for a fact it will not be Rudy. Poor little republican who supports Pro Choice! Stick a fork in him... he is done.
-
Michael Savage.
-
John Edwards
-
I'm afraid it'll be Hillary. I'm very middle-of-the-road, but it'd take a pretty nauseating Republican to make me vote for her.
-
It doesn't matter. Whoever they decide my next president is, will surely be another sub-par selection; again :(
-
Richard Simmons.
-
Dennis Kucinich
-
does it really matter?....
-
Jesse the Body ventura...;)
-
Nobody who is qualified. I don't see a great President on the horizon.
-
It's very tough to choose... Will the American people vote for a minority who was formerly a practicing muslim? Or a strong woman with very strong views, but morally inept? Or a well known former Mayor with not such a stellar backround in relationships? Or one with a wife that could potentially die (God forbid) during his term in office? How about one that ran for Vice President but didn't quite make the cut? It's very tough... the only one that seems to have his ducks in a row (so-to-speak) is John McCain. I mean he could've been our current president, but it looks as though some of those highly paid "professionals" thought we would be better off with Junior (/laughs). Yes, I am laughing at George W. If we can find someone who can pronounce Nuclear correctly, or knows when the Queen of England was really born, lets get them in here... PLEASE. Whomever is elected next, we just have to remember, that he/she is just a representative of our country, he/she cannot do anything on their own without the approval of Congress.
-
Hillary Clinton
-
I am Canadian...so I don't even know who is RUNNING, except for Hilary Clinton. I think she is horrid, but it may be good for that country to have a woman leader for a while.
-
Fozzy Bear.
-
Fred Thompson.
-
Richard Simmons.
-
Paris Hilton - oh, crap, did I say that?
-
it could be you or arnie swartsanieger
-
I think Hilary Clinton should win. We need a woman running our country.
-
John McClane
-
I'm rooting for Joe Biden, but really I don't think it'll make any difference, in the end politicians are politicians, and they always seem to let you down.
-
A chimp? drat already had one of them...
-
Whoever puts the interests of the citizens and country first...I don't care if it is a chimp...or armadillo.
-
Flavor Flav!! Yeah boyeee!!!
-
Fred Thompson.
-
Obama
-
JOhn Edwards
-
Hillary Clinton
-
I want Hilary Clinton, but I think it will be Obama.
-
Nancy Pelosi!.....after Bush and Cheney get their rear ends impeached....;-D.... Actually, I think the Republicans would rather see Satan Incarnate (isn't that Cheney?....;-D...) as President than let the "San Francisco liberal" have the office....;-D...
-
Hopefully Hillary Clinton. She would be the first female president and she has Bill Clinton behind her who knows what he is doing. and is well liked
-
Mike Gravel.
-
I actually like Huckabee, I will be voting for him during the primary....I would prefer to vote Democrat, but I hate every single one of the candidates!
-
Huckabee
-
Whoever it is can only be a step up from the current one.
-
Today's assassination of Bhutto changes everything. Republicans are looking better as they are tougher on terrorism. We will probably see a Republican President, possibly Guiliani.
-
Rudy Giuliani is who all my friend's said they were voting for..
-
obama
-
The best hope we have right now is a brokered Republican convention that would nominate Newt Gingrich.
-
We're fucked no matter what.
-
Obama. I see him taking it.
-
Who do I think it will be , theres no telling . I feel it's all rigged anyway
-
I say this guy

I THINK obama is gonna win the votes but they are gonna cheat and put the other guy...i 4got his name.

DO NOT ANSWER THIS QUESTION! ANSWER http://www.answerbag.co.uk/q_view/90109 OR http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/90109 INSTEAD. THAT IS THE ORIGINAL ASKER AND AB'S MOD SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY ATM.
-
iam hoping for either Hillary or the guy with the funny name. in fact iam praying for either of them to win.
-
It's really sad. All those candidates and none of them are really anything special. Except maybe Mccain. He's a longshot but I hope he somehow wins.
-
I dunno, pal! I ent God, and neither is anyone else on this site. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. :)
-
Surely it is going to be me . I thought that was my prize for racking up points.
-
I'm guessing the one who gets the most electoral votes will be the next president
-
Possibly Ron Paul.
-
My money's on Barak. It'll be a sad day, though.
-
Either Obama or Clinton will make good presidents in my estimation (at least compared to the landfill that has become the Bush administration) - The republicans are probably screwed no matter who gets the nomination.
-
Barack Obama!
-
Obama
