I am the type of person who tries REALLY hard to forgive people. I'm successful most of the time, but sometimes in the back of my head I'm remembering what mad me so angry and I can't help but feel a bit irritated.

I let them go fairly quickly in most cases. I have general anxiety disorder and have learned some techniques to do just this. I put it to work as much and as often and as quickly as possible.

I am a person who will bottle things up and carry worries i have, alone. That really can be painfull to bare, but you would not know it to see me unless you were really close. i guess the answer is 'a long time'. The reason is i spend a lot of time alone and that makes you dwell too much. :)

No..I release them right away. I know better. The longer I hold on the more I damage myself. I'm not in the business of self-flagellation. I move on! I don't look back! :)

I let them go quickly. Negative feelings hurt other people, but it hurts you the most when you hold on to them.

Most of the time I can let them go very quickly. The ones that stay with me are hard to let go though. Some things I just can't seem to let go no matter what I do.

It depends on the situation. Most of the time I am able to let them go pretty quickly- especially if I have a positive past relationship with that person. But there are a couple people I despise.

No, but sometimes, I think they hold on to me.

I hold on to them because when I get hurt I immediately withdraw into a cocoon and very very few people will even realize that I am hurt bad. Till one of those, whom I can spill my heart to comes around, it will be tightly bottled up inside me. When things get really bad i put pencil to paper and write down my emotions to let go.

I think I grew up somewhere along the way and made the decision not to let setbacks bother me any more. I'm much happier feeling this way and it probably will help me live longer.

...I tend to release them fairly quickly...they seem fruitless to me and I feel like dark spots are on my heart, so I work hard to dislodge negative feelings if some particular one is hanging on...
