    12-28-2016 I don't know any particular reason to name an official language. Linguists can't even define a language so they can count it. For instance, speakers of Spanish and Portuguese can understand each other, so do they have one language or two?

      Spain and Portugal are neighbouring countries, so maybe their languages have lots of similarities. They probably learn each other's language in school.
