  • Engine oil ? probably a blown head gasket, but you would also probably see a milkshake like substance on your engine oil dipstick. One other problem might be that it is transmission fluid (If it is an automatic, and I'm assuming that all 3.1 engines in 2003 are autos) If that is the case, your transmission cooler is leaking. You either need your head gaskets replaced (very expensive) or you radiator replaced (moderate) Check your dipstick to help verify.
  • these engines are famous for blowing intake gaskets. Had a 96 replaced 2 in 5 years.
