Small suburb..cozy neighborhood..easy walking distance of grammar school and high school..don't remember locking our doors unless we went away overnight. Of course I'm 70-1/2 and I have no idea what my old neighborhood is like today. It was a predictable childhood..the most unexpected thing would be a rare earthquake..which was always exciting and never seemed to do any damage! I think those neighborhoods are gone forever! :(

I knew where everything was. What I like about where I live now is that I know everybody!

We lived in the suburbs, in a trailer park, with nearby rivers, ponds and the ocean for fishing, open areas for hunting and kicking-up our heels. As a trailer park is a compact community, it was easy to make friends. Good times!

The Woods.

I liked being able to ride my horse everywhere across the countryside and on the beach. And I liked meeting my husband the best:-)
