Boats, especially sailboats.

For speed and convenience--planes For pleasure and relaxation---boats. Always.

Although I hate to fly, I really would hate to be on a boat loaded with idiots floating for days on end. I'll take a plane!

Big boats. Ocean- or river-going cruise boats. Or planes, business class. Economy class (which is what we usually can afford to fly) sucks SO bad.
-
I really dont understand why some people dont like planes. I really really enjoy them. There nice, warm, and there not really that cramped, you can read a book, go on your computer, or anything, i like planes
-
Only been on small ferrys, never huge boats. So I gotta go with planes for now.

Boats

I only fly when time is the main factor and I need to arrive in a hurry. I have a vast preference for big luxury trains or cruise ships, but I will settle for a boat if it is big enough.

Planes ....for me :) !

It really depends upon where you are going. To some places it does not make sense to fly. While to others the boat takes too long. If time is available, the boat is of course usually the scenic route. And with the harassment at the airports today, an option for a boat seems to be the best way.
