Hey, I'm often gullible, but even *I* am not THAT gullible. ;-)

I imagine the corporate Executive Chef who comes up with menu items etc very well could be, but the "cooks" in the individual restaurants are not likely.

If Italy is some random local back country! LOL

Wow! I am gonna apply for a cook position just for that free ticket to Italy! WOooOT!
-
Yeah. Italy, New Jersey;)

Yeah right. Of course not. All that food gets made in a factory, frozen and shipped out to every franchise. I know, as twice my food has been frozen when it arrived at my table and I finally met someone who worked there and they said ti was all pre-made off site except for a few things.

What, to sing?!

Some are. I used to work at the Olive Garden and I remember that some cooks went over there to learn how to cook real Italian dishes.

I can't imagine them being trained any where!

No...I have been to Italy a couple of times and the food is nothing like the Americanized food at the Olive Garden. Italian food is so so so awesome. Truffles, truffle oil...oh my gosh...it is the best! I am glad it is on the other side of the world so I can stay thin! I don't know how they are not all enormous over there...they eat 5 or 6 courses at dinner....but Gosh it's good...washed down with a couple glasses of that great cheap wine! I could eat that stuff for days...and the ice cream...don't get me started on the ice cream....

I know a cook at the local Olive Garden and they sent him. I am not sure if every cook is but it is likely that a cook from each restaurant is.

I don't think that every chef in every restaurant goes there, but I'm sure many, if not most do. http://www.olivegarden.com/culinary/cit/
