  • You have to tell us more than that. Like rural, urban. How far west. Are you talking land, housing, living costs. If you just want plain cheap, it doesn't cost much to own your home and taxes, even, in California Valley but trust me you don't want to live there. Any place to the east of the coastal mountains all the way up to Canada is dead dry and almost desert like and usually cheaper. Klamath isn't too bad in Oregon. Moses Lake in Washington is kind of cheap, too.
