  • Every culture has undergone persecution. Native Americans, Christians, Muslems, Hindus. . . The list goes on. As too why we treat each other this way I would say greed. Usually when people persecute another group it is b/c they want power over them. During the time of early Christianity the Jews and pagans persecuted the Christians b/c they didn't want them to gain power. The Crusades was to take land away from the Moslems. Americans did the same thing to the Native Americans during our early history. I could go on and on and on. . .
  • Well said. Another thing that I've noticed in researching past history is that they were feared. The beliefs they had were strong and spread out through multudes, even among their oppressors. It still holds today.
  • The answer you seek is clearly spelled out in the Bible. It is an ongoing string of prophacy that has a begining and an end. The issue is weather you can accept it as truth and believe what is written or if you want to continue to search for an answer.
  • Every culture and religion has undergone persecution. The Jews have been around the longest, therefor have suffered the most!

  • Yes, true, they have undergone many changes throughout history, but not as much the present. More like in the past, when the nazis took control with Hitler, around the early 1800s.
  • “Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, "There is a certain people (Jews) scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; THEIR LAWS ARE DIFFERENT FROM ALL OTHER PEOPLE’S and they do not keep the king's laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain.” Ester 3:8
  • Because you have ignorant monsters like Adolph Hitler, that think that,...for some strange reason theyre better. I work with a Jewish man, and he is one of the nicest, most honest and most dedicated man I have ever met. The persecution that the Jews have sone through is unmatched, by any other group of people. Some day people might become tolerant of other religions, I will keep praying for that day to come.
  • Jews have been being persecuted for thousands of years. Trying to claim that they have not suffered more than other groups is not only ignorant but irresponsible. Jews have been persecuted throughout history for their religious beliefs. It's that simple. First they were persecuted because they believed in one god instead of many gods (this was well before Christianity was ever around). Later, they were persecuted by Christians for not believing that Christ had come, and by Muslims who have been fighting over holy land with Jews for centuries. Christianity gets its whole old testement from the jewish torah. The only difference between Judaism and Christianity is that the Jews do not believe the Messiah has arrived and Christians believe he has already come in the form of Jesus.
  • Jews are no more persecuted than any other group that exists within a larger culture, behaves insularly, and refuses to assimilate while bringing attention to themselves through manners of dress and speech. If they've accumulated more total persecution, it's because of the length of their history and the extent of their travels throughout that time, not because they're Jewish. I know lots of people who hate Jews... actually, a lotof people around here do because we have an enormous Hasidic community; they hate them because the are terrible drivers, act rudely to the goyim, and generally have poor hygiene. A number of them also collect public assistance because they have four or five children. That's why they are disliked (around here, anyway); it has nothing to do with their religion.
  • It has to do with their involvement with banking, when things go wrong, they're the first ones to be pointed at.
  • Why? Because Gods hand has always been on the Jews... Satan has hated them & the country of Israel ever since... And so far he hasnt prevailed...
  • For their religious beliefs, very much like Christians at this site. The difference is this is cyberspace and nobody dies. In real life the haters had the gun to the hated's head, and they pulled the trigger. I will never understand why non-believers hate those that believe in God enough to kill them but it's been happening for centuries. I think it is fear. Fear does strange things to people.
  • Anybody remember Judas, one the apostles that supposedly betrayed Jesus to the Roman authorities for 30 pieces of silver? The Jews largely believe that they are God's chosen people based on religious texts, which many accept as not only gospel, but as a mandate. In modern times, especially today, Jewish persons own and control fully 95% of the media in the US. This includes broadcast and cable TV, newspapers, radio, magazines and movie production - all of which makes up most of what shapes the perceptions of Americans. But most importantly, what Americans are not informed of. Jewish persons also occupy a hugely disproportionate number of key US government policy making positions - nearly always demonstrating support for Israeli actions. The same can be said about the Jewish influence on US banking and monetary policies in the US. And one should not overlook the reach and power of AIPAC, the Israeli lobby in the US. Of course, in observing political correctness, to allege any coordinated agenda would be perceived as anti-Semitism and these indisputable facts are purely and utterly coincidental.
  • they understand money, which means they wound up as creditors to everybody else -- and at some point it's easier to kill your creditors than it is to pay off your debt
  • The whole of Jewish people have traditionally suffered from the actions of a minority within their ranks - often referred to as the Zionists. Like any race, religion or nationality of humans there are going to be the bad apples - and the Jews are no different with their Zionist conspirators. Now that the anti-semitism caveats have been addressed, let's get to the facts. Without a country throughout the centuries, Zionists are seemingly incapable of living without subverting their host country's culture and political hierarchy for selfish goals. Zionists are largely followers of the Talmud, the Hebrew bible that espouses some horrifying examples of Jewish supremecy and world domination, often through any means necessary. They consider Gentiles and non-Jews to be inferior, often equating them to farm animals. To many, with a firm grasp of the Talmud, it reads like a gangster's handbook, endorsing some of the most cruel treatment of humans by other humans. In fact, Zionist philosophy drives the State of Israel's horrible treatment of their Palestinian neighbors, who live in what is no more than the world's largest, open-air prison. Zionists have permeated the United States political apparatus and all US congress persons are essentially required to demonstrate their loyalty to the Nation of Israel and it's policies before taking office. Any US politicician, including the president, dares not speak badly of any action or agenda of Israel. With the American/Israeli Public Affairs Committe, (AIPAC), as the watchdog, careers can be quickly derailed, reputations smeared and lives destroyed. AIPAC is an immensely powerful, incredibly well funded organization and widely feared as the most dangerous lobby in America. The Zionists, (along with some Christian Zionists), have carefully acquired ownership and control of nearly 95% of the US media, which includes newspapers, magazines, book publishing, TV and cable, radio and even periodicals - all carefully and methodically managed to promote the Zionist agenda in the United States. The influence of American culture, ideals and values is profound. The subversion of what Americans are allowed to know about the world around them and what Americans are supposed to believe is immense. Zionists have positioned themselves to be at the head of the Federal Reserve Bank, a privately owned central bank that prints and issues all US currency - with immediate debt attached. The influence on the US economy for selfish reasons cannot be overstated. Having focused their efforts on acquiring the genuine levers of power in the United States, either directly or indirectly, the Zionists have essentially hijacked, (quite legally), the direction of America by making the hidden agendas of Israel the agendas of America - often at the detriment of the 98% of America that is not Jewish. But be careful. Discussing this matter is forbidden - becuse to mention anything about the Zionist infection throughout the corridors of power in the US is the same thing as making racist, hate-mongering, anti-semitic slurs about the Jews in general. What a sweet racket, eh? See why the Jews get such a bad rap?
  • from my readings and research i ve come to a conclusion to the question being proposed. my answer is this......the Jews are not God's chosen people. Well at least not the Jews that claim to be of the tribe of Judea. Ive seen Jews denounce that blacks in africa couldnt be Jews. Then it was scientifically proven through DNA that they (the jews and the jews in question)have a common ancestor. The Jews are some grimy folk, maybe if they changed their ways like everyone else heading into the 21st century is, people would change their views on them. And yes this will piss the Zionist sect off, but hey, you do dirt you get dirt.....more to come.
  • Many groups have been persecuted throughout history, not just the Jews. But the Jews do seem to have received significantly more persecution in a much wider variety of circumstances than most. Why would that be? I have Jewish friends. I deeply admire the sense of community within the Jewish faith and secular activities. But I must say I find their arrogant belief that they are better than others -- which is also enshrined in their religion ("you are the chosen people") -- to be extremely distasteful. While it does not excuse the unbalanced level of persecution that the Jews have faced, I do believe that simple fact may *explain* it.
  • U have to remember that although Jews have been persecuted throughout history so have other groups of people.People place so much emphasis on the Jews because so many were massacred during the holocaust. If it weren't for the holocaust people wouldn't single out Jews so much today. Do we forget about Muslims, blacks, Hispanics,Asians, and even Christians. People forget that Jews use to persecute Christians all the time. I believe that Hitler's beliefs contributed to the today's intolerance of Jews, but also because they're considered to some Christians as the people who killed Jesus and since Christianity evolved from Jesus they're is a constant animosity between the two groups. And this animosity has been for centuries. Everyone always look for a scapegoat, and I believe Jews just have the misfortune of being historys'.
  • Religion has nothing to do with why people hated or persecuted Jews. They were persecuted for the same reason any other group is persecuted. Arrogance. Condescension. Professing superiority. Disregard for laws of the land. The way in which Jews conduct themselves when in the company of non-Jews. This is why they were persecuted and still are. It's the same for any group who 'behaves badly' within a certain society. We ran off the Native Americans because they shit in the bushes and wouldn't hold a fork (and we WANTED their land). Jews are as racist as any ignorant red neck of Mississippi or Republican in the House. We all are racists and 'anti-everything'... to varying degrees. I grew up with Jewish kids (and black kids, Indian kids and kids of many other backgrounds an cultures) and often found myself in meaningful friendships with most of them. But they were indeed raised much, MUCH differently than other kids (as all kids are in respect to their parent's upbringing and economic status). However, there were things I discovered, where most people I grew up knowing never really professed themselves as 'better' than others, I found Jews openly do this . I recall in the basement of one of my Jewish friends, he and I discovered an old book in which it describes the 'why' Jews are best suited to 'survive' when compared to 'others'. That snapped in my mind as a pretty 'creepy' thing to think about. We were 17 and 18 years old at the time and more interested in girls and cars than political or social structures, but that book stuck in my mind. I always thought, 'What would make anyone feel they were better than someone else in any respect? And then, how much material is there behind that idea of superiority to write a whole book about it?'. Again, I was 17 and naive to the world of corruptible forces. That question of professed superiority, as it related to my friend and his dad and family, pulled at a thread of thought that made him my 'Jewish' friend instead of my 'friend'. Ironic, that book, written by a Jew, would set up a dividing line between my friend and I, as I think such books do in the context of larger groups of people and societies. Therein lies the 'why' of Jewish persecution. I mean, who wants to be told they won't survive in practical physical terms as well as spiritually? That doesn't sound good today. Imagine what it sounded like back in history. Imagine a Roman learning of the Jewish superiority complex. Imagine a Spanish Catholic King understanding the Jewish superiority complex. Imagine a Brown Shirt in 1930's Germany understanding the Jewish superiority complex... Now a days, if any other group were to write a book about such an idea of superiority, it would be chastised and railed for 'racism'. And they are. Imagine a Native Indian group professing this idea of superiority. Imagine a white group. Imagine an Islamic group. A black group. Imagine.... Of course, we all do this. Beginning when a kid spouts the classic line 'My dad is better than your dad' for no known reason. Or when one high school football team touts its superiority over its rival team. Take that sports example to hilt (add a little beer) and you have violent 'tribal' clashes in the stands of any given international football (soccer) game. Racism is a human condition. A natural distiction between your tribe and its ways and my tribe and 'our' ways. The problem comes when any one group claims superiority... that's when noses get bloodied. And that is why people get chased out of town(s). All kinds of groups profess superiority. Why? A deep, dark genuine contempt for all others? Fear? Fact? The need to knit a unifying fabric among a people? I don't know. I'm not a social scientist or philosopher, but the idea that any one group is 'better' than another is not a 'racist' thing. It is a common human condition in which Jews are just as guilty as any Nazi policy maker. The difference is who has the upper hand at the moment in time. In 1930's Germany, the Saxons had the upper had. In Palestine, the Jews have the upper hand. Spend a day in Gaza or the West Bank... as a Palestinian, and you begin to taste how common the idea of societal superiority really is. Is what Isreal doing in that area of the world better or worse than what the Nazis did? It depends on who you ask. Isreal is not waging war on the world like the Nazis did. Isreal is not conducting genocide. Or is it? What would the father of the family slaughtered on the Gaza beach say? The Palestinian woman held as a human shield by Isreali troops entering a home, what would she say? It's the same... just varying degrees of disregard for pure, simple civil rights. If a Jew or a red neck or any other 'racist' wants a glimpse of the darkest shade of racism... travel to Asia. I lived in China for nearly 10 years and as a white guy walking around, the shades there filled the rainbow of racism. A more complex weave of racism you will never find. It's a big world people.... there are monsters lurking in our omissions and furtive glances. Study history, but don't judge it. We weren't there. We don't know what whispers filled the dark corners of good people's minds. We all are our own worst enemies. Best to just settle down, enjoy your children, appreciate the natural splendor of a sun set and let others 'be' without judging. Life really can be simple and enjoyable if we ALL just realize we are all alone and we are all afraid, thus making our family and friends that much more valuable over any piece of land or stack of money.
  • "Then you are to say to them, 'it is because your forefathers have forsaken Me,' declares the Lord, 'and have followed other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law. You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me.'" Jeremiah 16:11-12
