I don't keep any shells or natural things found at the beach, because all the beaches I go to are public property and that would be like stealing.

It's not really special, but I have a shell that I listen to occasionally. It sounds like the waves in the ocean!
-
I found a perfectly egg-shaped granite stone walking along Long Island Sound ten years ago.

I have a few. Everywhere I go, I take something back with me. Just to sort of...remember. Yeah, somedays that's a bottle top. Or a glow stick, maybe a picture taken waiting for the bus home at night. Or a shell from the beach. It can be anything. Anything can be sentimental. When I was little I used to love stones. The urge to keep sort of...natural things near me's always there.

I had a piece of loose coral I found in the ocean. I didn't realize that after it finished dying all the color would leave. :-(

I found a rock that looks like kitchen counter stones, i forgot what it's called... but I gave it to my mom :p

as a kid I found this strange stone w/ colors. But don't know where it is now :(

I found a huge nautilus shell on Sanibel Island's beach a few years ago and it now sits outside on a table near my pool and reminds me of my trip even today.
-
Every piece of beach glass I find becomes 'my new favorite'.
-
Does the arm and foot I found, count?
-
