  • Yes. If you can chew it,you can digest it.For example:if you eat metal, you will not be able to digest it,where as if you eat a shell of a sunflower seed,it will digest properly. It may or may not take a little longer, but it will still digest properly. And since it is so small, your digestive system won't even notice it. hope that helps
  • Not very well, even if you chew them up. It is too woody and will simply be passed out through your system. They don't add anything nutritious to your diet.
  • NO! Trust me, you eat them whole and, lets just say you will be in for constipation, and... probably some bleeding with the poop, because your body doesn't digest the shell! so all those pieces of the shell, which are pointy/sharp, with poop, scrapping against your intestine, and rectum, and from what i understand you can get some disease or something if the seeds shell pieces get stuck in your colon. .. ya i just ate pumpkin seeds 5 days ago, and earlier this year i ate sunflower seeds, both painful experiences. both instances took me like 3 days to get it out of my system
  • Sure, if you'll take the shell off for me!
  • Without being overly detailed -- no. Not all fiber is digestible by the human body. On the other hand a certain quantity that is not digested is good for the plumbing --shells usually not recommended.
