It's the same process as joining any guild. Generally people don't get mad if you belong to two or three. I'm the Guildmaster for the fighters guild and a master wizard in the mage guild. No one has tried to kill me yet, except dreamers. They don't like the Nevarine.

The three main Imperial Guilds (Fighters' Guild, Mages' Guild, Thieves' Guild) will let you join any or all of them. However, the Dunmer Houses (House Redoran, House Telvanni, House Hlaalu) are more strict in their memberships and will only allow you to be in one of the three. However, there is a glitch that will let you become the Grandmaster of House Hlaalu, right away, even if you are in one of the other two houses. Kill Orvas Dren on Dren Plantation, then go to Ebonheart and talk to Duke Vedam Dren about his brother Orvas, he will more-or-less thank you for killing him and appoint you the new grandmaster of house hlaalu. This may be incomplete, but as far as I can guess, if you play your cards right you can be in all of the following guilds at once: Ashlanders Blades Fighters' Guild House Hlaalu House Telvanni / House Redoran Imperial Cult (all three factions) Imperial Legion Mages' Guild Morag Tong Temple Thieves' Guild Twin Lamps And one of the three Vampire Clans if you choose to become a vamp, but this will the last guild you ever join.

just ask the multiple guilds. most guilds will let you be a member of any other guild
