um, no. LOL
-
Uh...no!!!
-
My cat doesn't like water.
-
No, i dont have any pets any more and i had adopted a cat before that was strange that jumped in the shower when i was in there and liked to take showers i thought what is wrong with this cat i thought they hated the water and it would jump in and liked the water so i guess i had to wash the cat because of that.
-
I don't have a pet. But, it would depend on what kind of pet I would have. Cat, no way. Dog, don't like the smell of wet dog.
-
Nope! I've never even considered it! Maybe I am missing out on bonding with my dogs. Hmmmmmm.........
-
I'm sure my cats are glad I'm part of the 97% that don't! lol
-
Never heard that one before. I can think of a million studies to do that might be worth doing but this one is a total waste of time money and resources. but anyway No I don't shower with animals of any kind.
-
I used to shower with some of our birds. They loved to sit on the handles and play in the water, preen and flap:-)
-
Not just 'no', but 'Hell no'! I'm originally from Texas and we believe in keeping our livestock outdoors.
-
We have a sun conure that enjoys showers. We have a perch for him that suctions to the wall :) I'd never shower with my dog or anything, though...I have a friend who showered with her pug and the pug got scared and his claw got caught in my friend's nipple ring...Yanked it right out. She had to get stitches. Don't shower with your pets, people! :) Or don't have nipple rings...lmao!
-
haha, well, once. I have a great dane and I was bathing him in the bath tub. He had a lot of soap that wouldnt come off with the bath hose, so I turned the shower on. I was in a bathing suit, and turned the shower on, and held him in there. So no, I didn't technically bath with him, but I did hold him in the shower.
-
NEVER!!!! TOO MUCH HAIR!!!
-
No, my cats aren't a big fan of showers...
-
No. I have tried to wash my pets in the shower before though. I only come out getting injured.
-
that is absolutely discusting!
-
Based on the answers and the study you refer to. I am a freak. I took a shower with my dog this morning. Pretty much every Saturday I bathe her in the shower with me. I find it easier than trying to hold her still in the tub. She is fine with it. I shampoo her, wash myself, then rinse her off. She's a dog, she doesn't look at my nekkid body as anything other than human that feeds me. The cats on the other hand, hell no! I want to keep my special bits in place!
-
When my dog Abby was a puppy she would follow me into the bathroom and climb into the shower with me. It was kinda weird, but also really cute. Even now that she's older she loves to lay right next to the shower when I'm in there.
-
not when i had a pet no. i don't think i ever would either. just a personal preference
-
No. I am not a fan of shredded skin. And cat bites get infected easily. I don't feel like an emergency room visit.
-
No i bathe my cats every now and then (and thats friggen hard) but i don't bathe with them
-
Uh, no.
-
I have a big yellow cat that jumps into the shower with me once and a while. Very odd cat to say the least.
-
No way..............that's going to far!!!!
-
Nope, that is what the lake is for :)
-
That aint' happnin' yo...
-
I'm happy I'm the 3% that shower.
-
No way. They are cats and hate water.
-
Uhm, no. My dogs are far too big and despise baths too much for that to happen and me to survive the experience.
-
No, but I can see where that would be a convenient and perhaps less messy way to bathe a dog. Once when I was bathing my dog I got into the tub with her after I scrubbed her down and drained away that nasty dirty doggy water to rinse the soap from her. I did that basically to give my back some relief. I know that hippos and Bengal tigers like water but I'll wait until further studies are made on the advisability of showering with them before I talk to my contractor about building a special shower house. ;)
-
No, my dog is huge, there wouldn't be enough room for the both of us.
-
The thought of bare skin and my cat together anywhere near water would dissuade me.
-
I do!
-
Eww, no way! We have a dog, 2 cats, a snake and 2 lizards, gross. We do bathe the dog in our shower, just not while we're showering.
-
No....I really could not bear to have all that hair floating around....and then how do you dry the dog (or cat, or hamster or whatever,) and yourself? I love my cats and dogs but this sounds a little weird to me!
-
No....I don't think my fish would be very happy about that. >.<
-
No. I don't think my cat would like that.
-
I would guess beastiality is just as popular!
-
If I wanted to be razored to ribbons, I would take any one of my four cats in the shower with me.
-
That statistic offends reason! That's about 9 million people! The most I ever did along those lines was swim with the dog in the swimming pool a couple times when I was a kid. I think the cat might've come in once. He didn't like it.
-
I doubt my cat would appreciate it, and I wouldn't have a good time either.
-
What?! Only 3%? I love to bathe my cat. And i think he likes his baths. Especially when he comes out smelling nice.
-
Haha, no. That'd be weird. I prefer to actually get clean when i bathe. And have you smelled wet dog???
-
i do more then shower with it i have fun in a way that i could only do with a dog
-
Nope.
-
I have a bird, so yes I do becauser most birds love water. however, I wouldn't really consider it with any other pets....weird.
-
No, thats kind of strange
-
I'm not in the US, but em. I think that's slightly weird...
-
Hi, I was wondering if you could give me the link that gave you that information? Thanks.
-
I did when they were puppies or kittens, to soothe them and make it easier for them. But not anymore. They like water now.
-
about a third of a per cent of the time!
-
i also read 3% of people in the US have a 3rd nipple and 3% of people with a 3% nipple it is on their face. youll remember this if you ever meet someone with a nipple on their face
-
nope, but might consider it if dog soaps my back.
-
I really hope that 3% doesn't also pee in the shower...
-
I have birds that love water, so yes they sit by my shower to get the sprinkle of the water.
-
Only when my cat forces his way into the bathroom.
-
yea I used to have 2 parakeets thats loved to shower with me they liked to fly in and out of the water and if I didn't let them come in with me they'd find a way to sneak in, once they flew in while my brother was showering
-
Hell no, but sometimes they will come in the bathroom to see what I am doing.
-
Well, that depends, I'm sure that when My pet and I are ready to move up to the next level in our relationship, we will. and who knows, maybe we can bring the peanut butter with us...
-
No, but my cat jumped into the shower when she was a kitten once and jumped back out when she realized it was wet.
-
once
-
No way, my cat hates water and is liable to scratch areas I don't want him near!!!!
-
Once was enough!
-
If my pet is that Cockroach in the corner, then no, I killed him.
-
Yes... When my dog chester needs a bath .. in the shower he goes.. I figure if I am going to get splashed anyways .. i might as well come out shower fresh.. besides he is always calmer during his showers when i am in there with him... but since I am not home all that often.. I got my b/f to put him in his shower .. It works great.. because he gets bathed alot he is flea free.. and never stinks... (thank goodness)
-
If I tried to shower with my cat I would probably need stitches afterwards.
-
I have in the past, but not lately. Sometimes it's easier to wash a cat if you just get in there with 'em, then unless you want them to get water all over the bathroom you just keep them in the shower with you while you clean yourself up.
-
Oh no. But I do give my cats a bath if they smell funky. But that's it. But I think it's normal or under stable to shower with your pets. I don't know though.
-
Nope. The closest I have come is when my puppy decided to randomly jump in the bathtub while I was taking a shower. He quickly learned that hot water and soap do not feel good in the eyes, and jumped out. He was never curious again about what goes on behind the curtain.
-
No, not in the real sense, but when I give them their bathes, I may as well have taken a shower with them since I'm SOAKED!
-
I don't make it a habit, but I have put my mom's dog (her previous one that is now in doggie heaven and the one she has now) in the shower with me just to be silly . . . just once for each one.
-
no my dog hate to get bathed
-
I love my baby ragdoll kitten but theres no way im having a shower with him
-
only when i bath them ..they seem to like the rain effect
-
No...our cat, Tigger, would never speak to us again! Happy Saturday! :)
-
my daughter used to bathe our dogs that way!!!!!
-
I would never do that. My cats would most likely freak out and either claw me or do something dangerous in a panic.
-
Yes. But only because he asks. He's a big parrot and I think he thinks he's still in the Rain Forest. He's a bit dillusional at times.
-
GOTTA BE WEIRD
-
Wow, three percent is way more than I would have thought. But yep, I have. Whenever I have a baby duck or goose they go everywhere with me, and they love the shower :). I wouldn't think that bathing yourself at the same time as your dog would be practical, unless maybe if you had a really small dog. I always washed mine in the tub but it was a pretty big undertaking by itself.
-
Uh no, cats don't like water. I don't particularly want to end up with body art carved into my body by cat claws!
-
We-elll, now that you mention it whenever my dog needs a bath, I'm gonna get totally wet and soapy anyway and need a shower afterwards, so technically I shower with him when he needs a bath. I wash him off, throw him out, and then finish my shower alone.
-
No..I don't :D
-
yup
-
all 3 of my dogs love to hop in the shower with me. it started when they were puppies. now i have to limit who goes up to the bathroom with me so they don't all try to get in the shower! otherwise i have no room! :)
-
I shower with my rabbits :] And I used to shower with my dogs, it's way easier to hold them.
-
My mom does. She giving a cat a bath.
-
No, I shower my 2 dogs with the water hose outside of my house!
-
If counting the time my older brother dumped a fishbowl on my head, yes.
-
I do when showering my dogs,... well I am being forced to. They just can't stop shaking when I put the shampoo or water on them. I end up covered with water.
-
No, cats do not like showers..
-
Uhhh no! That's a little gross! Nor do I sleep with him, eat with him or take him out. He is a cat... Why would I get into a shower naked, with a clawed animal that is afraid of water?
-
No; not WITH my dog .... I give him his bath in the full standing shower with WARM water .... Then; I wash down the shower .... Then; I will take my daily shower ....
-
No I sure don't. +5
-
No, I don't shower with the dogs. I have been known to run through the sprinklers with them when it gets really hot out.
-
every morning
-
wtf? but why in the world? lol....... i don't shower with my pup
-
yes, and he enjoys it, although he finds it hard to keep on the shower cap.
-
Honestly ha ha...yes. Its very convenient. After we swim in the pool we are cold getting out. So it has become a habit to get out and run to the hot shower to warm up an clean the chlorine off of us. I actually have cat, Ragdoll, that if I don't close the door when I take a bath she will come in and actually get in the tub. Weird.
