Plain white bread, like Wonder or such costs around $1 for a 1 lb loaf, or $1.75 for 22 oz loaf. I pay around $3 for bakery whole wheat bread.

Linda Joy It's much cheaper if you make it at home. A 5 lb bag of whole wheat flour is still less than $4 and white flour less than $3.
