It's better than nothing
-
It pays the bills.
-
Working any job is better than no job and it may be better than you expect; All work is experience and it pays the bills.
-
I encourage you to take any job you can get and give it 110 percent. Hustle, hustle, hustle. Then when you find something better in about 6 months to a year, you've got a great employment recored. Oh, and, don't miss any shifts. Dependability is sooooooo important. If you can do that, you'll stand out above the rest and good things will happen for you. P.S. I hate Wal-Mart, but grab it. It's a great part time job for you.
-
You will be doing more stocking than cart-pushing, most likely. It's experience. And Wal-Mart has internal CBT for other levels. Take advantage of it and move to another position. ANY work is good on the resume, and if you start at low-level and show you moved up, THAT'S always good, too. ;-)
-
I worked there for four years and only left to go to school.I loved it.
-
Take it, the money will come in handy and if you dont like it you can always look for something else.
-
If I didn't get at least greeter, I'd leave it.
-
Was a cart pusher for a grocery store in the next town over. One of my first jobs. Success has to be built on any kind of a foundation, and Wal-Mart is a great one to start with.
-
Take it. Learn, do your best, get experience, get money, and keep your eye out for something better after a few months.
-
beats the hell out of salting fry's anyday
-
If you need a job, go for it. If you want to do better, take it and keep looking for another one to "move up" in the world. But keep that job until you find a better one.
-
Leave it
-
My neighbor took a job like that. When his family moved three months later, he transfered to a new store in a much better position.
-
If it's your only option, take it! If only until you find something better, at least it's something until then!
-
Always go to job interviews, they are good practice. If you get the job, and you do a great job, you'll get promoted within! Working for WalMart will look good on your resume.
-
.. people say.. " it pays the bills".. but at times, walmart has been know to aCTUALLY lower some peoples salary.. the work alone is crap.. boring, and the employees are pretty much walked all over... mcdonalds.. would be an improvement from THAT!
-
Take it.
-
Take it, I heard it pays, or least the truck driver do...75,000 a year.
-
Walmart has been sued successfully many times for treating their employees like shit.
-
Take it if offered.. You dont know how many people are out here now looking for jobs wishing they could get in Walmart!
-
If you don't take it, someone else will. Who is getting hurt here?
-
wally world sucks, nless u work at corporate! an ex store, transferred to nowhere bentonville!!!!
-
If you have nothing else, take it. Then keep looking until you find something you like better. If nothing else it will get you experience and something to put on your resume. It could be worse, it could be fast food. I would take Walmart over fast food any day.
-
Hmmm...if you don't have a job right now...take it, and while you're working there, you can be looking for something better.
-
The wages are not that great but you can work your way up to a management position at least the benefits are good.
-
Take it if they hire you. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer. After you have been there a length of time you get great insurance, vacation every year and after a length of time you start getting extra vacation time. My aunt gets five weeks a year. You have to put up with some crap sometimes but you have to do that with any job you get. I don't know what they pay but it's like i told my son take it until something better comes along. I wish you all the luck.
-
Take it. Wal-Mart is awesome in my opinion. And you may not get another interview for a while.
