  • I see nothing wrong with it at all. of course I have a butterfly on mine. :)
  • Zack, what do you mean (that) unacceptable? It's not against the law if your of age or have parents consent. Some are very well done. And I don't give a rip about what others think, I'm me, you either like me, the whole package, just the way I am, or keep on walking. Is that what you mean?:)
  • I have no tattoos at all...not that I've never thought about it. I'm getting older now...and think about "hell, that will be there forever!" But, I have heard of the tattoos on the small of a woman's back referred to as a "tramp stamp" before. Not sure where that term originated.
  • G'day Zack, Thanks for your question. My sister-in-law has a tattoo on her back. Personally, I think that people who get tattoos are mad but to each his or her own. Regards
  • i don't see anything wrong with it...people can see it how they want to see it, but i have japanese kanji on my back...and it's an acceptable place...can't be seen unless you wear crop top or bend over....sometimes when sitting down...or when youw ear a swim suit...it can easily be hidden... heres my tattoo on my lower back...but i'm adding some too it soon...
  • A lot of people have tatoos not just on the ower back every where. I feel like it is acceptable. Thats just what i think.
  • Are you referring to "tramp stamps" or how they made fun of them on Saturday Night Live?It doesn't matter to me if someone has one or not.As for myself,I would never get one.Too permanent.
  • I have one there. I find it acceptable. The term Tramp Stamp, I think, came to be because a guy really wanted to take a chick home in a bar one night and she shot him down. You know how some guys are, "If she won't sleep with me, a guy she just met, then she must be a slut." Don't ask me to explain that philosophy but there are those that do feel that way.
  • I have a "tramp stamp" on my lower back.....and I love it....I've had my tattoo for 7 years now, and I love it as much today as I did the day I got it...
  • Hey, if you like it, it's fine by me. I, personally, don't want anything on me that makes it easier for the police to identify me ^_^
  • I think tattoos are sexy and they are very acceptable no matter where they maybe.
  • I don't think it's unacceptable at all. I think they can be quite sexy depending on the design. I am partial to floral tattoos and I have wanted a lower back tattoo for a long time, but I can never decide on one design because there are so many that I like. Oh, and they can be quite pricey if done by a reputable artist.
  • I think they are pretty. My daughter has a beautiful one there .
  • No. That isn't where mine is, but when I find just the right design that will be the next place I get one :)
  • to be honest, im kinda against tatoos altogether... but if anyone else wants to get one, i aint stoppin them :) by the way, everything traveling alright zack?
  • I have to answer this for my wife. She worked at a company that fired her over it. The company was based in the south and was owned by an insane christian guy and My wife bent over to tie her shoe one day another insane christian employee saw her tatoo when my wifes blazer flipped up over her butt and her shirt came un tucked. They fired her the next morning because she "exposed her self by dressing unappropriatly" Georgia was a right to work state and she was in her 90 day period so she could claim un employment. so for your question. not for all of the world but a good amount of it.
  • I prefer that location than anywhere else...I hear its more painful there tho?
  • no i have 7 tattoos and my nxt 1 will be on the lower back. in the uk many women have tattoos mainly there and never heard of having a tattoo there any more unacceptable then on your arm
  • Of course not! Although..its one of the few places i don't have one yet!
  • Everyone calls them tramp stamps and that does rub off sometimes on me. However, that is a load of rubbish and they can be quite nice. It obviously depends on what you get done. Tattoos there are often quite large (I don't think small ones get referred to as 'tramp stamps') and you better be doubly sure that you want it done. Also, it's the kind of tattoo that's on show more; not because of releaving clothes necessarily, but you can see them when you bend over - maybe wouldn't be appropriate in some professions.
  • i have one and i love mine....it's not too big and it's just black; the chinese symbol for true love and some "curly q's" around it :)
  • Tats are cool zack, they are acceptable.
  • No why would it be??I have one http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n216/litha1968/DSCF1488.jpg
  • A tramp stamp is right above the crack of your ass. In fact, the middle of the tattoo almost dips into your crack with a tramp stamp. MOST women get a Peek-a-boo tattoo. Those are on the lower back. It's annoying when people mix up the two.
  • I see nothing wrong with getting a tattoo on your lower back as long as that is what you want and it makes you happy. Who cares what anyone else thinks!
  • I don't think it is at all! (of course, I'm getting one soon) I think it's niev (bad speller, my edumacations fault) people that make steriotypes about things like that. If you want one (or already have one) don't sweat it. As long as you love it f*** other people.
  • i have one on my lower back, but i decided to not get the typical "tramp stamp" and i got it more on my hip. i love it. i personally dont think anything is wrong with the so called "tramp stamp" i think they are beautiful and very sexy place for women to get it done. its a place that you can show if you want or hide when you need to. very classy.
  • since its been given the term "tramp stamp" its become kinda taboo, but not really unacceptable. i have a rose on my lower back and i plan to do more. i really don't care what anyone thinks
  • I see nothing wrong with it. Its your body. my favorite saying is: your body is not to cross the finish line in the same condition that if crossed the starting line; instead you are to be skidding on 2 wheels with a martini glass in your hand saying 'THAT WAS FUN!"
