There are lots of different meanings for pig-tails. One is for tobacco in small twisted strands or rolls another is what you need to connect an external Antenna Cable to a Wireless Card. I'd say the latter.

It's an electrical cord, with a 3- or 4-prong plug, that's installed on an appliance such as a clothes dryer, dishwasher, electric ranges, etc. I.e., large appliances.

The term pig-tail can refer to many different things. Mostly electrical plug conversion cords, but also used in plumbing and natural gas connections. I have about a dozen conversion hoses and cables in my house that are called pigtails.
