Well, I was never that chummy to begin with; but with my wife and son in my life now, I find I get most of my needs for companionship met through them.
-
Much more. I used to be rather shy, and now I love meeting people.
-
I see it that getting older, one gets more wiser as to how to pick and choose friends the right way.
-
I went through a stretch where I wasn't reaching out much and wasn't ever anywhere to meet new people or make new friends - I was too busy with work and my kids to have much time for that. Now that the kids are grown and I'm older, I'm finding a lot more opportunities to make new friends and I am taking advantage of that.

not fewer but i am much choosier as to the ones i invite to my house-seems what was funny as a child to me is intolerence now--just my thoughts---smile and enjoy the day

Many many more. As I've aged I've become less concerned about what people think of me and more interested in what they think about everything else. I'm more open, less afraid to take a chance, more willing to give the other guy/gal the benefit of the doubt..if I choose wrong, so what..you move on. If you give people a chance sometimes you really hit the pot of gold. :)

I make more friends more easily but fewer of them are truley close friends. I see more in people now and can better appreciate someone for who they are without thinking about how they fit in with me. I am more comfortable in my own skin that when I was younger.
-
I find that as I've gotten older I'm easily annoyed by people. Therefore, I choose my friends very wisely.
-
Yes. People seem more asocial now. Maybe it's just the part of the country I live in.
-
More because I have more time to talk to people. I think one has to be a friend to have friends.
-
Definitely fewer in 4th grade i was so popular now im so weird and only have...one..two..three..four..FOUR!! people i call friends
-
Friends are not made, it grows with time. All acquaintances are not friends. When we grow older many of our old friends leave us one by one. But if we are lucky we may get new companion at our old age.
-
Nothing's changed as I've gotten older. I've NEVER had a lot of friends.
-
I have the opportunity to make more friends as I get older but I have less inclination to do so.
-
I tend to make more friends each year... :-)
-

I'm making more friends as I get older. More than I expected.

Definitely, as you don't have the energy to keep in touch. Hard enough dealing with your family.
