  • Hollister is based on the town of Hollister in the heart of the agricultural part of California. The town itself has little except agriculture and is flat as a pancake for as far as the eye can see. The 1922 on the shirt is nothing more than a rediculous attempt to make the garment look like it's been around for a long time. Anyone with a fraction of intellect knows that this is completely fabricated and false but still faithful buyers of Hollister gear willfully suspend reality to look like they have some kind of authentic garment featuring a town with little redeeming qualities except corporate farming and really unhealthy air quality. The '1922' basicly has no significance except to broadcast to others that you are a gullible rube only concerned with appearances and corporate branding and not originality.
  • okayyy i know that this probably has nothingg to do with the questionn. but thee guy whoo left that rudee comment needs to no that he has no idea who you are and has no rightt to say anything because most likely he was no moneyy and he cant go buy what he wants when he wantss it so listenn i am happy that you are and independent teemager who has goals. keep them they will do much for you in the future. and my dad makes more than $100.000 a year and my mom makes about $80,000 a year and we still manage to live pay check to pay check just like every one of the middle class people in thiss world.
  • Well, the fictional story states Hollister was founded by J.M. Hollister in 1922 as a pacific merchant shop in Southern California. They just made that story up because Abercrombie was actually founded in the 1800's as a sporting goods shop, and became a clothing store in the 1900's. So they made a story that Hollister was founded in 1922 to compete with Abercrombie. But really, Hollister is a branch off of Abercrombie. There's no real point of the fictional story, since everyone knows that it was actually made in 2001.
