My great great great grandparents were from Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. Their ancestors came here from Nova Scotia, Canada in 1755. My family has been in Louisiana since that time. My father's generation were among the first to speak English. The Acadians, or Cajuns as they are now called, speak French.

I'm going to a class tonight to learn how to trace geneology to find out more! But, I know they came from Hungary, Romania, and Poland, and somewhere I have someone from Ireland (moved to poland).

What, all 32 of them?? I think at least half of mine are from Wales, with possibly some Russian thrown in.
