yea i have to calm down on that word its my fave and i use it to often
-
Its just you, you didn't get a great nights sleep, broken bed and all LOL!!!
-
Yes, its a stupid habit that is becoming so tired and irritating. Sometimes internet slang in general just does my head in and I wish it would stop. Theres something so cloying about it all. lol. (Shut up...please, yeah?)
-
LOL oh you mean like just writing..LOL ....
-
LOL is probably the most overused computerese cliche of all time. I hope someone comes up with some new short cuts for expressing laughter in 2008.
-
I don't know. I don't get it either, LOL!
-
Try reading lol as "loads of love" or suchlike, some people actually thinks thats what it means :o)
-
I figure it's just nervous laughter. Don't let it get to you. lol...o sorry
-
If you find yourself in an irritable mood, just starting thinking that "lol" is lot's of love instead of laugh out loud. That should cheer you up!
-
sos irritable mood lol. Kiss on the forehead for you
-
Yes - or the text messages with EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE ending in !!!. I always wonder if I'm supposed to be more excited or something than I am.
-
I don't get irritated..I just figure these people are part of the crowd of people who send text messages and they forget the environment in which they are operating..I never use such abbreviations because I love words too much..others may feel differently and that is their right. I would object to their insisting I follow their path as they should object to my telling them to follow mine!
-
Lol is often used just to say "Hey, I am in a good mood and saying this happily". I can accept that.
-
Laughing out loud is mostly only the idea that one could do it, not the real thing... And people are sometimes in a laughing mood. The smallest thing makes them laugh. I am quite happy with a smile: :-)
-
Not really. I'd rather have that than the cowardly innuendoes that I've been seeing here lately. Good question.
-
lol of course lol it gets really annoying lol. (lol)
-
Well, you probably are in a grumpy mood today....but then perhaps you are entitled to be...I often think that the people who send that kind of text message are probably the silly kind of people who would say, "Hi," and then giggle or chuckle or even laugh out loud in real time. Really revolting people who are happy and chatty all the time...should be a law against them and they should all be shot...there I feel better and not so grumpy now...thanks
-
You must be grumpy today...I hope it gets better for you! :o)
-
I do that occasionally without realizing it. Or when I'm nervous because someone's talking to me and I have absolutely nothing to say. But I agree. It is irritating.
-
i have a tendency or saying haha after everything i do...it's weird...haha...see there i go again. you may just be in an irritable mood...because my friends know when i am i don't put haha.
-
No I think people like to suck the fun out of everything.
-
Well to say, "Hi. Lol" is really pathetic. But, I do say lol sometimes (but only because I assume that other people realize I'm not actually laughing out loud and that instead I just think that something is funny).
-
It used to, but not anymore. It's just a form of shorthand.
-
No, I feel the same way. When someone replies to my emails and writes lol, I would rather they write haha, at least then it appears as if they mean it. Example; you wouldn't say; "That was a good joke laugh out loud," would you? You'd say; "That was a good joke haha." No, you're not in an irritable mood, some stupid sayings are irritating.
-
You just in an irritable mood today!!! I use lol where I would laugh IRL. I laugh a LOT, so you really wouldn't like my texts!!! 😆😄😍
-
What's funny is subjective.
-
Yes LOL I suppose is overused. I use it to be on the safe side to be certain someone takes my meant to be humorous statement seriously,.
