A future prescription to PolyGrip?

Well, it's a little late to run out and get sacajawea gold dollars, but that would be fun! Especially if you put it in a tiny pink draw string bag with a piece of candy. If you have any kind of cute little box or bag, put the money in that.

10 gold bars.

My son has started losing baby teeth recently as well. I thought $3 was a good amount. Well, he was very excited until he found out his best friend got $5. So next tooth I gave him $5. Then he told me his friend got $13. So when he lost his 3rd tooth I went back to $3 and told him if he wanted to make it $13 he should go wash my car!

a good night of sleep.

a couple regular dollars to spend, and a special coinage (like a Kennedy half dollar or something) to keep

I don't remember what I got for the first few teeth, but I was getting $1 coins for the last ones. I know that was awhile ago - but seriously - do people really pay their kids $5 for losing a tooth? I think that's ridiculous! I think the tooth fairy should bring $1 at most, or some sort of fun little trinket or toy. Nothing more than that.
-
5 dollars sounds about right.
-
When I was kid, we use to get 25 cents a tooth. Adjusting for inflation I would say $2.00 might be in the ballpark of todays economy.
-
$1 is perfect!

My boys always get a gold coin

How old is she? I started out like that with my son, he was almost 2 when he lost his first one we gave him 5 dollars, next thing I know he losses about 5 more within the next 2 months. He started cutting teeth at 3 months & had all of them before he was a year old. The tooth fairy started going broke, lol so we started putting lil stuffed animals & other lil soft toys with the money. Did you get one of those lil tooth boxes from the dentist to keep her teeth in? BTW congrats, I know you must really be excited for her.

When my daughter lost her first tooth, the tooth fairy left 20 dollars under her pillow but after that it was 5 dollars per tooth
-
corr, I feel rather cheated. Depending on the country I was living in at the time it was either £1 or $1 20 dollars OR pounds seems like entirely too much to me.
-
A pearl, one for each tooth she will lose. Then when they are all lost have a bracelet made for her :O)
-
My wife did what I think is a cool thing. Very early on as my kids started losing teeth she went to the bank and got a bunch of $2 bills. They are somewhat unique and that is what each child got from the tooth fairy for a lost tooth.

Your daughter wants a few quiet moments with daddy to have some hot cocoa and tell you about her day.
