  • Check your mode, bit depth, selected layers, colors, etc. Try this: 1. Open Photoshop (I am going to assume you're using CS3 as that's what I have) 2. Make a new document (cmd/ctrl + n) 3. Width: 500 pixels, Height: 500 pixels, Resolution: 300 pixels/inch, Color Mode: RGB color 8 bit, Background Contents: white 4. Create a new layer. 5. Hit "D" 6. Do Filter->Render->Clouds Does that work?
  • Set the mode to 8 bits/channel under Image/Mode... you probably have it at 16. Should work after changing it.
