I like them either way but deep fried is awesome.

I dont do thanksgiving, but when I do have turkey it is always roasted!
-
I always have my turkey rotisserie cooked. It's tender and really juicy.
-
I prefer it roasted. I believe its healthier that way.
-
brined then roasted is my preference, but it's about the MEAL, not the MENU...
-
I've never had the deep fried, but I prefer roasted. I like fried foods, but I've been trying to eat healthier the last 4 years (and I've lost 80 lbs!)
-
I can't say I've ever had deep fried turkey! So I think I'll have to go with traditional roasted.
-
I'm an old fashioned gal. I like the Roasted for Thanksgiving. It just brings back so many good memories of Thanksgivings past. I will eat the deep fried in the summer time when we have outdoor picnics.
-
Roasted sounds great. Deep fried sounds tasty. I'd think, if someone wanted it that way, they could just go to K.F.C. Roasted would make me drool, more.
-
I have had turkey prepared both ways. I have had many roasted turkeys that are delicious, and many that were dry beyond consumption. Both times that I have had deep fried, the turkey was delicious, tender and moist. This year, we are going to grill it in a Big Green Egg. I'll let you know how it turns out!
-
I've never tried fried turkey, so I'll have to say roasted - at least until I try fried.
-
Traditional roasted turkey please. :)
-
I prefer a very moist traditional roasted turkey.
-
Roasted or rottisserie for me. I just don't understand the obsession with deep-frying EVERYTHING... ice cream, Snickers bars, turkeys, small children...
-
I am very conservative when I eat my turkey. White meat only.
-
We always have both.
-
Oven roasted, just like Grandma used to make.
-
Roasted is good. But brining the turkey tastes good also!
-
I prefer the traditional roasted. I don't care much for the deep fried.
-
Never had deep-fried turkey... too many horror stories about accidents when making them. It's dangerous. But it sure sounds delicious. I do love roasted turkey though.
-
I have not had deep fried turkey but it sounds really good

Traditional Roast. I do not like deep fried.

I thought I would try it, until I read an article similar to this one: http://phoenix.about.com/od/foodanddrink/a/fryaturkey.htm +5

fried turkey is so much better than baked yum
-
NO Frying for me....
-
It's great when it's hot out of the deep fryer, but you need enough people to eat the whole turkey. Any cold leftovers, the next day, taste terrible and greasy. +5
-
Our next door neighbors are. The only thing that makes a fried turkey taste better than it already is is not having to fry it yourself.
-
We did it last year, I didn't care for it...=/ The left overs were nasty. We use the fryer for fish and wings now.
-
Man, I'd love to some day. Maybe next year!

I hear its dangerous ! Requires peanut oil, and a special pot made for the frying I hear most do it outdoors in a safe fireproof area? like away from a house. Kinda a expensive way to cook a bird? Many markets delis sell fried turkey now. Try that, or perhaps frozen thawed smoked turkeys are really good as alternitive? Personally I like drunk turkey before I place a fresh turkey in a cooking bag pour 1 lb melted butter first over bird top and bottom then season with my favorite seasonings ( less salt) if you buy cooking sherry wine in a market usually they add salt to the wine . Stuff the bird with unpeeled quartered onion celery trims w leaves and whole carrot pieces you can add the cooked veggies to your separate pan of dressing when the bird is done. place the seasoned bird upside down in the bag tuck the wings anchor the bird with more veggies if needed. Pour one cup of wine on the bird after one hour of cooking, otherwise the seasoning will wash off. leave cooking bag open baste the bird with a baster add water if needed only a cup or two of water 1/2 way through cooking time pour another cup of sherry wine over bird. Remove the bird when it reaches 160 degrees internal temp into the thick part of breast. Let it rest foil covered for 20 min or so before slicing. The bird wont present well whole so I suggest you garnish a platter and put nice arranged slices on platter with stuffing . Then serve The bird should turn out really moist and tender.
