  • It's true that your boyfriend is a liar.
  • well....Thats never happened to me....hmmm
  • Your history is your history, (or his) it wouldn't be there if the page never opened. Isn't it obvious?
  • Nope. Your BF is a fat liar
  • You better start wondering what else he lies about because that's not true.
  • I have a suggestion, take a look at some of that porn, and become that for him, otherwise he'll just get off on the porn. Or call him a liar and tell him to get the hell out!
  • It is possible? Yes. Is it likely? Hell, no. That kind of hack is not a random thing; it's targeted. What makes your bf so special that a hacker would single out his system to HIDE porn on his system? A true hack would be more likely to plant a hijack program so that the hacker could remotely use the target PC as part of a mass denial-of-service attack. If there's porn on his system and in his history folder, it's his. Cut this scumball loose, not for the porn thing but for thinking you're so stupid as to fall for that lie he told you.
  • Yes & no ... you do have to have some sort of connection at the time that they plant the info, but they can either plant it directly and immediately, or they can plant it in a hidden file and tie it to a 'cron' virus that 'goes off' at a specific future time, whether or not you are connected at the trigger time. __________ ... after reading some of the other answers, I too believe he is just trying to BS his way out of admiting the porn is his ... although it is very POSSIBLE to hack & plant files, it is rare and very unlikely ...
  • I don't have a problem with him looking at naked women. I have a problem with his lying and thinking you are clueless.
  • Impossible. They would have to physically enter your house, goto your pc, and put it on there. You need the internet to hack into other systems unless you have a LAN connection or something. This is definetly bs
  • What do you mean "internet turned off"? If you have cable or DSL, the internet is never turned off- it's an always on connection. With an always on connection, it is possible for a virus or a Trojan sitting on your computer to download files in the background without your knowledge. If you have dialup, then when you are not connected nothing can happen to your computer; but a virus can have an auto-dialer built in, and can establish a connection without you knowing. You need to run an anti-virus program if you think that happened. But it's far more likely that someone in your family likes porn. :)
  • Actually there are a few excuses if hes not lying. There are spyware designed to connect to porn sites just for the value per click. In other words the designer of the spyware gets 3 cents for every unique computer that visits that porn site. 2. The are computer viruses that drive traffic using the tcp/ip stack and then drop the temp files/pictures on the computer. No firefox or IE needed. I have seen both in different jobs I've worked at. I've even infected my own laptop to see the results. When was the last time you updated windows or virus scanner? Also the spyware will not come up as a virus. Last night when I check myspace I had a friend request. I clicked on the half-dressed profile and it had a virus attached to it. This was a remote control virus also known as a bot. Or, your boyfriend really does surf to those sites. I was just giving you the security backround of things I have seen in the field. There was a story in the paper about a teacher that lost her job because the spyware that went to porn site and she was fired later to be cleared by security experts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julie_Amero http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/06/teacher_granted.html If you have anymore questions please ask. • It's very true that a computer can be infected causing things like this, however the likely-hood of it happening is so slim you might as well disregard it. Just to be sure Download the following programs: spybot search and destroy lavasoft spyware search mcafee antispyware search your computer using these and see if you get any results. Once again chances are you wont find anything of this nature, but if you wanna grasp at straws for hope go ahead and search.
  • I agree, but I would check for spyware. There are some really slick programs out there now.
  • Would you bet your relationship on it or your employment? I would not windows OS is not great and far from perfect.
  • My husband said the same thing and when i to a computer guy, he siad that your computer can not do that. So I called that on my husband as i handed him the bill for the computer tec. So no your computer only shows the history that has been view on your computer and if it is not yours then it is the other person
  • your boyfriend is LYING. EDIT: OH how sad to down rate me for telling the TRUTH. NO computer can "put porn in your photo files and in your history" EVER unless you've VISITED THE freaking porn site. Grow up and face it - your BOYFRIEND IS LYING to cover his own ass.
  • Look, I am a patient and tolerant person but what you are doing is SPAMMING. Please stop asking the same question over and over again.
  • Lol, no! That's a pretty imaginative excuse.
  • Do you believe him, that is the true question? Not what we believe.
  • One of you is lying.
  • what is the big deal?are you going to fight over little porn or look at it,enjoy it and later, you know.......
  • If you believe that crap from him I have a bridge I will sell you! He is LYING
  • No, he has been trawling for porn and he should be ashamed. lol...
  • Spyware can do things to your computer but it's not going to show it as something you visited in your history. And to start some kind of files or links like that, someone must have made at least ONE visit that gets the ball rolling. Just cruising around the internet far from porn will NOT get it into your history or files. So someone is lying. Check the date and time of your history files and see if it's when he has access. And it may not matter to you about the porn but it should matter to you about the lying.
  • What he's not telling you is that he must have visited a porn site that now has access to your computer or may have infected it with a virus. Allowing it "to" put porn in your photo files and in your history when you leave the internet on.
  • I would say your boyfriend is less than honest.
  • i had this problem too . my bf claims tat e porn web history wasnt his too
  • Get a macentosh, then If they are there. He is lying.(Mac aren't affected by that kind of stuff
  • Not that I know of. In order for a porn site to get attached to your computer, the site, or other porn site, has to have been visited by someone. So if you didn't do it and you are being honest, then consider your boyfriend to being dishonest, and push him to own up to it. I am sure that you would consider making a mistake and wtaching porn, if admitted, would be much more in the order of easy forgiveness to you, than lying.
  • We have a wireless router that we realized was not secure and people in our building were using it. If they use it, could it possibly show up in internet history/cookies? Could this happen if someone has stolen your IP address and was on your wireless network?
  • I am in the exact same situation...except the computer is mine, and so is the house it is in. there's no way the porn got into my history on safari by spyware. I locked up my computer, put a firewall up, and each page needs to be ok-ed before it is viewed. He just asked if we could talk it out some other time. That and he lies in my bed and plays World of Warcraft ALL day and leaves the toilet seat up. I also don't know how to get him out of these lame ass habits.
  • LMFAO Are you that dumb? If the porn is in your internet history he was on a porn site and if not the only way to get those so called bots that open porn sites is by going to a porn site. But no the computer can NOT put porn in your photo files if you leave the internet on.
  • For all you non-believers it can happen and is happening to me. I keep finding all the porn sites in my history and they arent your normal types of sites either. Shemale, gay you name it my history has it. I have never watched porn on this computer either. So for all you people who says her boyfriend is a liar well you may be wrong. I just want to find out how to stop it.
  • If you keep asking your boyfriend about it and he knows you check for it, I would doubt he would be stupid enough not to erase his history after porn surfing. That leads me to believe that he is telling the truth.
  • Well, he would say that, wouldn't he? Not that it's impossible, but it's unlikely that the computer is downloading porn all by itself. I don't really think it's a big deal if your boyfriend is looking at porn. I watch Jason Statham movies for practically the same reason. :p But he could at least go to the trouble of covering his tracks. Is there not a Clear Recent History button? It's only polite to do that if you're sharing a computer with someone. (This is why my boyfriend and I keep separate computers.)
  • well i think he's just making that up because that doesn't happen to me and not on my friend's computer.
  • The problem is a trojan virus. I was able to find it delete and now no more porn. So there are boyfriends who tell the truth you non believers. Not everyone watches porn or needs to for that matter
  • He's lying. Install some decent anti-virus software, anti-spyware software, and change your log-in password so your boyfriend can't log in on your computer any more.
