  • Tetoron rope is made from.... tetoron. Tetoron is essentially a derivitive of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate). In other words, it's a polyester derivitive.
  • Well, from what I can find, Tetoron is a brand name for a polyester fiber manufactured by Toray. It has a high elongation quality, which allows it to stretch by about 20% before breaking.
  • polyester fibers (e.g. Tetoron). Tetoron fiber which is a well known polyethylene terephthalate fiber available from Toray Corp., Japan. However, since this fiber has high elongation and low tensile strength, cords which are formed by such a fiber do not show high tensile strength.
