  • Darth Vader, General Grevious wasn't a jedi or a sith lord and therefore could not use the force. Darth Vader didn't go to the Mustafar system and kill General Grevious, because at that point in the movie, he had no motivation to. Just Obi-wan was sent on the mission to kill General Grevious. Also at that point in the movie Darth Vader was Anakin Skywaker.
  • Darth Vader and General Grievous never existed at the same time so we will never truly know. Anakin became Vader and order 66 came down after Obi Wan eliminated Grievous. At first I assumed Vader was more powerful hands down, but in the interest of all planets aligning properly in the Star Wars Galaxy, this at least deserves a closer look. Just a couple of background points: 1)Grievous killed several Jedi (some say numerous) so merely possessing a knowlege of the force does not ensure victory over him. 2) Obi Wan defeated them both (you can't count that crap that went down on the Death Star, Obi Wan gave up!) so against a common opponant they both lost. 3) Against the most powerful of Jedi, Vader needs help to win. For instance against Windu, the Emperor helped by frying him and again against the Emperor in Return of the Jedi when the Emperors attention was on Luke. I'm a gambling man by nature and if I had to lay money either way I'd still go with Vader over Grievous and here's why- when Anakin and Obi Wan fought he was technically Vader but he still only had Anakins knowlege of the force you know he only got stronger as he aged and grew his knowlege of the dark side, plus HE'S DARTH VADER he's the ultimate, you just know he would beat Grievous, he's got the intangables, hell he's the chosen one, he could never fulfill the proficy if he lost ...but it's closer than it appears on the surface!
  • Varder,hands down,rotating arms isnt a jedi skill.
  • GOD.Darth and Grievous are mortals. They are powerful only by their army size or by any other possesion not by them selves . So none of them is power ful at all. Only the almighty is omnipotent.
  • G'day, Thank you for your question. We don't really know. Vader presumably killed plenty of Jedi in the time between Episode III and Episode IV. Presumably, Obiwan told Anakin Skywalker of Grievous's weakness but it would still be tough. However, I doubt that it would have come to a fight as they were both on the same side. Regards
  • of course Darth Vader he was the strongest jedi even before he became a jedi read the first star wars book by terry brooks
  • Vader was more powerful because he had the Force. Grievous was once a man, a warlord, and he was "saved" by turning him into a cyborg. He was seriously trained by Count Dooku in light saber combat. That is how he was "killed". A droid cannot be killed because they were never alive. Grievous had human organs, like his heart, lungs, and eyes. (that is why he coughs) And that is why when he was stabbed in the chest he went down. On a side note I did this all from my own knowledge and I am officially a super geek.
  • Darth Vader could wipe the floor with this guy. Having four arms is not an advantage in the Jedi arts. If Obi-Wan Kenobi can beat him and Darth beat Obi-wan then clearly he is no match.
