  • The Abrahamic religions are Judaism, Christianity and Islam. They are called the Abrahamic religions because they all trace their origins to Abraham, who they believe discovered monotheism.
  • The Abrahamic religions all trace back to the Prophet Abraham. God called Abraham out of his hometown Ur which is modern day Iraq to settle in Caanan (Israel). There, God promised Abraham his descendants will forever inhabit those lands. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are these three religions. Many people ask well how does Islam claim to be an Abrahamic religion? Abraham's first son, Ishmael, is the ancestor of all Muslims. The Prophet Muhammad is a direct descendant of Ishmael, thus being a descendant of Abraham.

  • There are other Abrahamic Religions as well including the Bahai Faith, the Druze faith, Samaritanism, Noahchide Faith, Rastafarianism and Mormonism. I Consider Mormonism a religion in it's own right. Therefore I would say you are all fairly narrow minded in your definition whether you include Islam or nought.

  • To answer your question Abraham worshiped the only true God- Jehovah. There is only one true religion, please look at Ephesians 4:1-4. Jesus exposed false religion in john 8:31-58, especially look at verse 39 where Jesus states who is Abraham s children. There are others in Abrahams genealogy, but they are not of his religion which led to the Messiah - Jesus Christ.
