So they can feel somehow superior in their own mind, mostly.... But sometimes it is wise to listen twice to people you have found to be right in the past when it comes to your questions : )

It isn't something more until the lover and lovee have a relationship where they've accepted the things they don't love about each other. Until that point, it is a crush/infatuation/lust etc.
