Yep. That state is cursed. Something wrong ALWAYS happens when I'm driving through Tennessee. Grandma's purse got stolen, the truck broke down, we lost our camping gear... and that was just ONE trip!

Yes, I used to live in Thompson Station, and Franklin. I have family in Brentwood and Columbia.

Yes, I was in Tennessee also, on 3 actual different occasions, actually. All 3 were awful. The first I was 14 and of course bored of my parent's decisions on what to do and where to see. They chose Elvis' house and I wanted to go on a riverboat. The next I was down there , in Memphis,to attend Grad. School, but got my car stolen, and with no money and no job yet, had to borrow my Mom's credit card to rent a truck and get home, because I was terrified, after also having someone break in to my porch and steal my bicycle, too. The third time I was only driving through, and it poured the whole way through. It rained hard enough so most were pulling off the road until it stopped. I kept going slowly, because I wanted to get out of that hell-hole!

I was born in Oak Ridge Tennessee and lived there until I was three. We're still friends with a family we knew there. I took my daughters to the beautiful Smokies in 1988, and went to Memphis with a friend to see a college basketball game in 1994. I have good memories of Tennessee.

My friend and I went on a bus tour with a bunch of old people years ago to Nashville. It was a four-day-three-night trip and we had WAAAAAAY too much fun! Our tour included admissions to Grand Ol' Opry and Opryland USA and we also took a few little side trips to Printers Alley to go bar-hopping. I met one of my dearest friends, a Nashvillian, there on that trip and we have remained friends all these years later.
-
Nope but it makes me think about Elvis and Jack Daniels.

No I never have.

what do you mean on Blank's behalf?
-
Been living in TN all my life and I enjoy it. I hate/love it. The weather is what I particularly hate, but other than that, the people here are nice and nothing bad has happened to me here, nothing stolen or anything crazy. It's a good place to just chill.
-
I lived in Memphis years ago..loved it then..you couldn't PAY me to live there now. Kinda sweet/sad to answer a question from Blank..but I am glad they are still being answered.
-
no

I currently live in Chattanooga, it's very pretty here and the city is contantly working to improve its look. I wish the job market was improving though.

As a teenager, during a family trip to Florida. We stopped at a store, and there was an old-timer there who told me stories of his life while I waited for my parents to gas up the camper and buy snacks. I don't remember the town name, but it looked pretty depressed. I liked it though.
