  • I don't know but if I allowed thousands of young military people to be killed, that would cause me to have a breakdown
  • If that is the case he should be stepping down as president. If one is on the verge of emotional collapse they should be seeking help.
  • There is nothing wrong with a man crying. There is nothing really wrong with a person seeing what may or may not be a ghost. There is nothing wrong with a person having a belief in a god. But if a man (or woman) is crying everyday, and really believes that god is talking to them in a physical way, and that all of this is going on daily. . That is a sign of a melt down.
  • No, it's not a sign of emotional collapse. It's a sign that underneath a public exterior which seems a bit mean and harsh at times, he's still human, and he feels the pressure appropriate to the decisions he has to make. He also feels he has strength to draw from, and does not feel he has to make it alone. I would say that would be a very healthy situation, considering the options. Furthermore, I would say that he is less likely to make drastic and stupid decisions without due thought than if he thought he could do it alone, or if he did not realize the weight of his choices.
  • Its a manifestation of lunacy, so its probably status quo.
  • Just another idiotic Bush-ism to me.
  • He said that? Really? F*cking idiot.
  • I think the man's been unstable for quite some time now, honestly. Seeing ghosts? Crying all the time? Is that the kind of person we want as a president? never mind all the mistakes, lies, scandal and chaos long rampant in his administration.
  • Sounds like someone at the top finally got through to him that he has to do some damage control for the Republicans for the upcoming election. He's a player.
  • Is either too sad or too absurd to comment upon. What does one do at this information -- laugh out loud or worry for our children. If the stakes were not so high, this pathetic worm's existence would be a farce.
  • There is nothing wrong with emotion or even mysticism as long as the person is rational and able to lead. I would rather have a tearful mystic than an uncaring despot. But only history will tell the truth of GWB. He has made big mistakes as far as I am concerned!
  • HA HA HA
  • no he is preying on the emotional side of other people as americans follow religion powerfully i think its neither is manipulation
  • I didn't realize anyone had ever thought Bush stable to start with ...
  • Dubya Bush Is one sick puppy.
  • Please, post a link verifying your question? WHO says he does those things? Have they witnessed it?
  • I wonder when dubya is going to start walking on water or turning water into wine. In the mind of conservative idiots across the country, there is no limit to the miracles performed by dubya.
  • Ah, the joys of just making stuff up!
  • His eyesight is blurry at the best of times, the lincoln ghost is really probably Johnny Walker
  • hahahahahahahaha he's insane that's def for sure
  • Well, depends if the question has any truth behind the stated comments as being "facts".
  • Sounds nuts to me.
  • Never judge a man/women until you walked a mile in his/her shoes.
  • boooo hooooo... id cry too if i was responsible for the free world and had to send young men and women to fight and die...its a tough responsibility. right or wrong...its tough ... and its his decision. and hes got to live with it.... could you??? grow up!!!
  • I think you know the answer to your question, my friend. He lives in his own world..it makes a he** of a lot of sense to him..so in that world he is stable as can be..however, in our world, well..he is a stubborn idealogue who doesn't give a dam* about anything or anybody..only his "vision", whatever the he** that is..and we are victims of it. If he could just confine himself to his world and stay out of ours..wishful thinking! :( Happy Saturday! :) ((hugs))
  • No,He just likes onions alot.
  • Like all presidents, Bush is a figurehead and has little to do with what really goes on behind the scenes. Presidents are the face in front of the camara, and they are told what to say and how to say it. Bush is a miserable alcoholic who is close to collapse, and his removal is close at hand.
  • This is the sign of a serious mental problem!
  • sounds like pandering to the "religious right" to me.
  • oh he's about as stable as lithium
  • Bush past the verge a LOOOONG time ago!!!
  • The one reference that you have posted does not go very far toward supporting your original question. First of all, it makes absolutely no mention of Lincoln let alone any claims that Bush may or may not have made concerning his ghost. Also, I don't see how a profession of faith in God and sorrow for deaths in a war is a sign of a man on the verge of an emotional collapse. Personally, I would be a lot more worried if Bush did not care about the how many casualties their had been. Finally, your one source is really of very questionable credibility. The Huffington post is a rather far left website that is highly biased against Bush. Therefore, anything that they post about him must be view through the eye of their bias.
  • awww... that's bad for you George Afraid of a kind President that was shot by a killer? When That man dies, his soul will never rest in peace because he killed if not 2 million Iraqi children. I would be afraid too, but I am not gonna be a president!
  • The link says nothing about Lincoln’s ghost, nor that he cries all the time. All it says is that when he’s got something to cry about—which any president would have plenty of—he takes it to God, which is exactly what every one of us *should* be doing! This doesn’t sound like a man on the verge of collapse; it sounds like a great man, in a difficult position, that does what he thinks is right and what anyone else thinks be damned. Let the downrates begin.
  • I am not a Bush fan, but this statement, at least, bears the mark of an honest man, frank and candid about what he is going through. No matter what face he has put on for us, the public, he must have doubts, if not then, then, at least,by now. That said, I can't wait to be rid of him, and hope I never hear of him again.
  • I did not know he ever said that, though I don't believe this, it must have been made up by some of his friends. He is a very sick person and hopefully he will be able to redo his life when his term is over. Yes it could be a sign of an emotional collapse or perhaps too hurt for what he has done. No it is not stability!!!
  • For a man who's under the pressure he's under and for someone who's screwed up as much as he - I think crying is only healthy. Seeing ghosts is another thing, if true, I would call that a problem. But, though I'm no fan of his, I think it sounds more like enemy propaganda. I couldn't find anything on it in Google. Do you have a reference?
  • I think his words have been twisted a bit but the man has the weight of the world on his shoulders and this is not a sign of weakness to me. He is human.. whether you love him or hate him.. he is flesh and bones just like us and any mistakes he has made.. none on this site would have had that job and not made mistakes. I am not a Bush fan but I am not anti-Bush. The comment about Lincoln's ghost is put out there like he is having some delusions.. that is not what it was. It is like saying.. I see what they wanted for us and where we are.. and I feel helpless. I feel for the man but people would be flaying anyone in office. He took his turn and I am sure he is glad it is over.
