  • You already have abdominal muscles - without them you could not sit up, stand up, walk... etc. Most likely they are already strong and tight and would, if it wasn't for that layer of fat and skin over them, 'pop'. Truth be told not all people are able to lower their body fat percentage low enough to show off their abs - To do so requires a highly specialized diet and that diet can only be maintained for short periods of time before disastrous results take place. I discovered that for myself after 6 years of working out hard, and training - I had much more muscle mass, but my genetics refused to shed the layer of fat to show off those muscles well. This is genetic and there is nothing we can do to change the genes we are born with. Not all people can become muscle bound body builders either - genetics prevents it. Not all people can be slender and thin - again genetics. Secondly, or further, you have a very unrealistic goal here. A month is not enough time to develop any muscle significantly. It takes many months and even years. At this point I would strongly urge you to speak to either a gym trainer or your doctor. I would ask them if you are of the body type that can expect to having popping abs or if you are "cursed" genetically to have a layer of fat no matter how much you train and how much you diet. If the trainer looks at you and says "What?" meaning they do not know - seek another trainer ASAP. Although most know the basics when it comes to genetic disposition and how that affects these things, there are still far too many out there who do not have the knowledge and will inflict people with false hope, or worse put people on a deadly course which can results in permanent health issues and some times death.
