No, I LOVE cornbread. Sometimes we make a quick meal from just cornbread. I put the cast iron frying pan in the oven to heat up. And I add most of the fat (oil, bacon grease, whatever we use that day) into the hot pan and not the batter. When you add the batter to that hot pan it just sizzles and absorbs the fat and gets so crispy, crunchy and brown! Serve it with butter,m honey, marmalade, it's wonderful!!! And any leftovers makes the best start to stuffing for a bird:-)

Only if it is cooked in a HOT cast iron skillet so the bottom (which becomes the top when taken out of the pan) is very crispy. Sometimes I eat it in milk like cereal as a late night snack. Yummy!

YES! Better than regular bread. Especially if it's made with buttermilk. I like it a little sweet, not as sweet as the "corncake" like you find in the grocery stores.

Good home made corn bread is one of my very favorite things . I love it ! I've had it for breakfast crumbled up in ice cold milk with a little honey on it.

I like corn muffins and corn bread. It must be really moist and that means made with buttermilk in the recipe. I have had many bites into cornbread that could induce choking and possible death.

Yummers!! :) I don't care if it's a pan full cut into squares .. if muffins .. or my answer at Kentucky Fried Chicken (I'll take cornbread vs the biscuit, please)! Homemade is best, of course .. and could list lots of foods it's "good with". But I'll stick to .. you asked .. and I could imagine it immediately .. and it was GOOD! :)

Yes. I like the corn meal porriage more. I make lots and lots and then let the extra stand in the firdge until the next morning. Cut into squares and fried in the frying pay with some oil. Then put hot sryup over it to eat. Really good.
