Try an old pillow when he tries to mount her put it under his little legs. that should get him a step up. Also try holding her and spreading her back legs so that she is at least an inch or two closer to the ground.

Your gonna have to get something for him to stand on and then your probably going to have to sit down and let the female stand over you (so that her front legs are on your left and her back legs are on your right, or the other way around) if she wont stand still... If you can get her to stand still then you can just stand behind the male and make sure he stays on whatever it is the you decided to use to raise him up (pillow, phone book, thick piece of wood, etc.) and if he is still having problems then you can guide him in. This should work. Good Luck
