No, love is sharp and intelligent.

I think it's governed by childhood, and how you were treated. You usually subconsciously fall for a person that's like one of your parents, even if that parent was cold and dismissive, a form of trying to right a situation and gain the love you never had. Unless a person deals with this, they tend to pick or create the same environment, so yes in this way it's as blind as a bat.

True love from the heart is not blind. It’s something that is sensed by an empathetic person. If anyone can not see true love, they are busy or preoccupied in their own head and do not have the time for someone’s love which is their problem. It takes a shallow mind and a lack of heart to be blind to true love. The eyes say a lot when expressing love.
