Pierre Curie, Marie Curie, and Henri Becquerel were awarded the 1903 prize for physics. It was for their work on radiation. Marie Curie was also awarded the chemistry prize in 1911 for the discovery of the elements radium and polonium.

  Curie is one of only 5 people to have won the prize more than once, and one of only two to win it in two different fields.
