  • If we make it until the next election, the most prominent female candidate for the Democratic nomination is Kamala Harris. She is popular among Blacks, Hispanics and Millennials. The possibility of her making it to the US presidency has held up a mirror to America, revealing how key demographic trends have "reshaped" the country.

The possibility of her making it to the US presidency is as ridiculous as the thought of Hillary making a comeback. Biden and Harris are running neck-and-neck to see who can be the worst President/VP in history. I think it's one of those "hold my beer" challenges - they must have Nancy Pelosi actually holding the beer (or drinking it, judging by her public demeanor). Harris's disapproval rating stands at 52% while Biden's stands at 54%. She's "reshaped" the country, alright - she's almost single-handedly erased the US/Mexican border.

1465, you are missing the whole point. America is changing. Over the decade’s first 9 years, racial and ethnic minorities accounted for all of the nation’s population growth, and were responsible for population gains in many states, metropolitan areas and counties that would have otherwise registered losses due to declines in their white populations. If you live in the US, you would know we live in a more diverse country, especially among youths.
  • Assuming the U.S. doesn't crash and burn in the near future from some unforeseeable catastrophe, I would expect a female President within the next 20 years.
  • "A matter of time", perhaps. "In our lifetime", I highly doubt it.
  • I figured I would share a forward answer to let everyone know that America has seen its first US female president when Kamala Harris made history in serving as acting President: https://youtu.be/wESN5LECV5U My theory of seeing Kamala Harris making it to the presidential role is what various users cannot see - that America is more diverse than ever to inspire me to ask this question: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/3524019 My original answer to your question is backed up by possibilities. Users need to stop being narrow-minded. Looking at gender and color is not the answer.
