  • yes I fired a guy for that
  • really it is very rude
  • That depends on the situation. *** For example: if you are having a casual (not work-related) conversation with a fellow-employee at work and you receive a call that you know is work-related, then you answer. *** For example: if you are in a completely casual conversation and are expecting an important call, you can tell the other person, "Excuse me. I'm expecting an important call." and that is not rude. *** For example: if the conversation is dealing with an important matter (either work-related or not), then it certainly MIGHT be rude to interrupt the conversation to answer the phone, especially if you the call is NOT work-related and (as far as you know) NOT important. Etc. *** USED to be: it was rude to call someone after work hours or on Sundays except by prior arrangement. Of course: that was back in the days when my family (and the neighbors) had a party line...
  • Yes seems rude to me
  • I send it to voice mail.
  • You can't control who calls you without turning your phone off or putting it on airplane mode. Answering the phone isn't rude - but having a conversation with the person on the phone is unless it's important and then you let the person you're with know that you have to take it. He'll understand,
  • It’s only rude if the person with their phone ringing doesn’t say anything to the other person talking to them. It’s easy to say “excuse me I have to take this call”. Some people might not have what it takes to be mannerly while others are decent by saying something.
