Thumbs up for being true to yourself. I wasn't aware of all the negative feedback you receive.
  • Often, but definitely not always.
  • It is said that “People will read you before they read the Word.” As ambassadors for Christ, we walk in Jesus Christ’s steps and lead others to him. To the extent that we are examples of believers with the Word living in us, those around us can now believe and live as we do. Besides following the examples of more seasoned believers, we read God's Word and see the example of Jesus Christ and of other believers who lived for God. We also see the qualities God desires for us such as walking in love and becoming “rooted” in God’s Word. As we put on God's Word we show forth spiritual abilities in our daily lives because we have received the gift of holy spirit. This also results in evidencing the fruit of the spirit. Galatians 5:22,23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” With all these positives going for us it is no wonder that God says we shine as lights in the world. It is also said that a man's true character is shown forth when confronted by his enemies. One of the most challenging realities for us as Christians is that we are guaranteed to encounter enemies and unjust profiling and criticism as we live for God. II Timothy 3:12 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” More than any other believer in the age of grace, the Apostle Paul is an example of reliance on God's ability rather than his own when faced with daunting situations. archive.org/details/bibletellsmeso01wier/page/142 Testifying to God’s good and loving nature was his best and only means of recourse time and again. This is evidenced by his steadfastness to preach and teach regardless of his circumstances. Acts 28:31 “Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.”
  • You mean, turn my other cheek so he can strike me again - no I don't.
