  • the police report from 1995 reveals new striking details about President Biden’s nominee to be comptroller of the currency's "retail theft" arrest. Fox News obtained the police report detailing the arrest of Saule Omarova, Biden’s pick to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Omarova, who was 28 years old at the time, was arrested in 1995 for "retail theft" from a T.J. Maxx store in Madison, Wisconsin. The police report, filed by a T.J. Maxx security agent, says she stole $214 worth of merchandise before being caught. WHITE HOUSE STANDS BY NOMINEE SAULE OMAROVA, WHO WAS ARRESTED IN 1995 FOR ‘RETAIL THEFT’ The report says that she stole four pairs of shoes, two bottles of cologne, two belts, and socks from the store when she was apprehended. The T.J. Maxx security agent on duty told police that he saw Omarova take the items by placing them into a large purse and covering them with other clothing items to obscure the stolen items. The security agent attested that Omarova paid for several items at the jewelry counter but "made no attempt to pay for the items concealed in her purse" and confronted her after she left the store with the stolen items. Omarova "immediately requested the opportunity to pay for the items" and was "cooperative" as the security agent said he would "sign a complaint" about the items being taken "without his consent."

Have you noticed all the FELONS in Trump's inner circle? Not someone who did a misdemeanor over 20 years ago. But FELONS today -- Paul Manafort, Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, Michael Flynn, Rick Gates, George Nader, George Papadopoulos, the list goes on and on. Double-standard much?
  • Yes he is losing his mind. It is becoming more apparent every day.

      Thanks for your comment
  • I thought shoplifting had been reduced to a misdemeanour in the US, so what would be the point?

      Thank you so much :)

Whether shoplifting is a misdemeanor or not depends on the value of the items stolen. Stealing a pair of high dollar designer sneakers could put you into felony territory fast!
  • I'm just sitting back watching the never-Trumpers scratch their heads as they see the Biden administration implode. They let the Democrats talk them into hating Trump and supporting Biden. Now, Biden's leading a dying nation that he tries to blame on Trump, all the while surrounding himself with more corruption.

      I agree with you
  • I thought he was out of his mind. 😄

Yes Jenny I have to agree
  • It would appear that she's redeemed herself in the over quarter-century since. We're supposed to believe in redemption, aren't we? It also appears that she paid for the goods and that the charges were dropped. She seems to have been a student at the time. It's not an excuse -- I was an impecunious graduate student myself once, and I didn't shoplift -- but I think it's fair to accept her subsequent rehabilitation, which is something we all claim we believe in. By the way, how do you feel about Kennedy of Louisiana saying to her, "I don't know whether to call you professor or Comrade" and pretending he meant no disrespect by that comment? In my view, the disingenuous act doesn't play well. The man's keeps proving what a little a**hole, he is. I feel for the intelligent people (there are some) in Louisiana.

      Yes I see
  • Whoever suggested her didn't do their homework. But do you remember Bush 1st appointing Clarence Thomas - Sexual harassing and unqualified Supreme Court appointee? Nobody did their homework there either and he got the job. He hasn't asked a single question or written a single opinion since he was on the Bench. He's the only one in US history not to do so. lol https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarence_Thomas_Supreme_Court_nomination

Yes, I remember Clarence Thomas it makes you wonder
  • And yet, a little less than half the country was OK with the Orange Emperor, knowing he buys hookers (multiple crimes) and he was on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women (felony) and tax evasion, along with his history of illegally dodging the military... compared to a misdemeanor shoplift charge over 20 years ago. LOL!! double standard, much?
    • DancesWithWolves
Yes I hear you on that oine
