The mortal would wear out. I'd marry one of my own.

How many other immortals are there? Are any of them hot? Are they jerks? Are they the same type as me? Are they (physically) compatible with me? Etc. Assuming a planet-full of immortals of which I am one, of course I would marry an immortal...because the loss of a loved one is hard to take, and you don't want to have to experience that over and over again - every century or so - eternally.
