  • Stores are replacing cashiers at all stores such as Walmart, Foodland Also, they got these Automobiles replacing Dominoes Pizza delivery persons kind of sad the list goes on
  • Its not sad! Its progress! There are thousands of people really glad they're not out picking cotton! I'm one of them! And I'm thankful for the robots that cut metal and make the assembly lines roll on! They need humans to supervise and intervene when needed, but I'm thankful we have cranes to lift heavy objects many stories! I'm thankful for elevators! Yes, humans can think. Lets save their time for thinking jobs.

Yes don't know what to say
  • That has been going on for centuries. The Romans, for example, constructed (several) water-powered flour mills. (The traditional method, still used in much of the Empire at the same time, was to grind grain by hand, using two stones.) Consider: Cotton-picking machines. Mining (rock-digging) machines. Animal-drawn carts (machines used to transport goods across land, formerly done on human-back). etc. Humans have been making machines to replace human labor (or, similarly: to reduce the number of human laborers needed) for at least thousands of years.

      Thank you :)
  • these machines have to be programmed and serviced by humans. my worry is that AI (artificial intelligence) could take our place. there are already little bots that can roll around the house and do some menial chores. I don't trust them if they can "see" my house. How do I know that information isn't being sent to a 3rd party? they found out the iphone could record conversations without the owner's knowledge. and don't get me started about the (spy) algorithms in all the social media platforms!

      Yes I agree thank you
  • Only in certain jobs that machines have replaced people. There are still certain jobs out there that only people can do such as psychiatry, psychology, law, teachers, human resource jobs, poets, novelists, sports and gym instructor just to name some. Machines won't replace people in the jobs I mentioned.
