ANSWERS: 12
  • The full paragraph shows you the context in which it is written quote:- Philippians 2:4-11 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. None of which has anything to do with having a vaccine. It is to do with unification in Christ, and being of the spirit not of the flesh, and to make wise judgement.

CC: I asked for an answer, not for an exegeses. lol That answer makes no sense. Care to Explain.
    • Hulk70156
Well I got that from Billy Graham Jr's website so I guess he is nonsensical too.
    • Creamcrackered
I have no idea who he is, so I looked him up, I can see he died with a network of 25 million, and said things against the gospel, so I'd agree with you that he is nonsensical as well as a charlatan.
    • Hulk70156
Actually I was wrong about Billy Graham Jr. Here is the correct source___https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/voices/2021/07/28/take-covid-19-vaccine-its-christian-thing-do/5389873001/

    • Hulk70156
BTW I said Billy Graham Jr, not Sr. The dad was a world wide evangelizer for over 40 years. He had a newpaper column, and as you said more than 25M people were his followers.. I like it when you call him a fraud. BTW how do we know when people interpret the Bible correctly. Seems to be a cottage industry these days....
    • Hulk70156
Here is Billy Graham. If you are a Christian you've seen him. https://www.google.com/search?q=how+long+was+billy+grahams+career&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS941US942&oq=how+long+was+billy+grahams+career&aqs=chrome..69i57.7150j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
    • Creamcrackered
I didn't say he had 25 million followers, I said Billy Graham which from your input, I'm gathering senior, was worth that amount. If you are talking about Jr, again this isn't a person I know, I'm in the UK, and I couldn't tell you the name of an evangelists here either, I don't really care about any of that. How do I know when people interpret the bible correctly, by the way they act.
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
Hulk, Billy Graham Jr and Sr are no better than Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, Mike Murdock and other televangelists who never stop preaching about money. Let God be true and every man who does not teach the scriptures in context a liar. (Romans 3:4)
    • Hulk70156
      You got that right.
    • Linda Joy
So someone had a problem with my answer to ask Him directly? Yet all this other stuff remains? Yeah I guess I can see how an anti Christian might have a problem with that. I think its time for another break.
    • dalcocono
You know, there is no evidence that king James English is spoken in heaven. Also, having read thru the letter of St. Paul you posted, I missed the verse that also said we were required by God to be vaccinated.
  • Choose "Life"
    • Linda Joy
      As in anti-abortion?
    • Hulk70156
yes, abortion didn't exist in Jesus's time so saying Jesus was anti-abortion is nonsensical. That's what Creamcrackerd said above.
    • Creamcrackered
Hulk I said your quote was taken out of the context in which it was written which had nothing to do with vaccination, in behaving this way you have lost your integrity .
    • Hulk70156
Wow, being a liberal and a "godless heathen" I didn't think I had any integrity in the first place. Now you've given me some integrity and then taken it away. I'm devastated. lol How do I live this down! Woe is ME WOE IS ME> lol
    • 1465
"...saying Jesus was anti-abortion is nonsensical." - No, it's not. Using the context of "anti-abortion" to determine Jesus's views on the subject of killing unborn children, the issue is self-explanatory.

Jeremiah 1 :5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
    • 1465
So what you're saying is, anyone who aborts a baby is in a lot of trouble. GOOD!
  • People can quote the Bible all day long, but don't assume that following a few passages will give you the salvation you hope for when you prefer to ignore others that you disagree with. We have all been given the power of free will - and this is the basis for our decisions.
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
Quote: "We have all been given the power of free will - and this is the basis for our decisions." Exactly, thumbs up!
  • If there were a god, one who created man and woman in his image, I imagine he would expect us to take care of the bodies he gave us AND to protect and preserve human life in general. The Jews believe that this latter task is so important that all other laws and commandments can be ignored if a human life is at stake. I think that pretty much epitomizes what a Judeo-Christian god's position on vaccination would be.
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
Your answer is pointless, cause Christians and Jews who practice Judaism do not agree with each other. Christians believe their bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, which is kept without corruption. Jews who live by the Torah are still waiting for a messiah and the rebuilding of the Third Temple.
    • 1465
The "Messiah" who was to lead them back to the Promised Land came and went. Theodor Herzl was that "Messiah" - it was he who founded Zionism and brought the Jews back to the Promised Land. But there was one slight problem: he died in 1904. Since the Messiah is eternal, it kinda shows that he was not the Messiah after all. This means that the Zionists and their Jewish followers are not the ones meant to inherit the Promised Land and they have been trespassing on Arab land since Israel was declared a political state in 1948. This is why there has been a war there for the past 73 years.
    • Linda Joy
There has been war over there since Esau sold his birthright for a bowl of soup. And God commanded them to destroy everyone in the land or they would be a scourge unto them forever... They didn't kill them all and drive them from the land and so they've been fighting ever since!
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
1465, Jesus came in the human form and ascended to Heaven in His resurrection. In His second return, He will come in all His glory to consume the world in fire. Quote: "Israel was declared a political state in 1948." Until Jesus returns again, the Jews will be expecting a political messiah. The rebuilding of the Third Temple can happen at any moment. Scripture calls the false messiah the "son of perdition." When a person is given that title, the connotation is that of a person in an unredeemable state, someone who is already damned while he is still alive.
    • 1465
LJ - war is a way of life for them, there's no question about that. But the war between the "Jews" and the Arabs over territory has only been going on since Israel became an independent state in 1948.
    • Creamcrackered
Zionism, orthodox Jews are against it.
  • In Paul's letter to the Philippians, Christians are known to help the needy. But when it comes to the vaccine, no can do, cause the interests of others who are pushing the vaccine is to drag you down. It is written, the preaching of the cross to them that perish is foolishness. (1 Corinthians 1:18) God's position is to trust in Him, as Paul also wrote in his letter to the Romans to place your life before God, to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, Holy, acceptable to God and do not be conformed to this world. (Romans 12:1-2)
    • Victorine
      So ridiculous and so irresponsible.
    • 1465
Interesting reply, Victorine. It validifies your "if there was a God" statement. But then we all know where you stand on that anyway, don't we?
    • Hulk70156
Victorine: You have to remember that some of these people have been forbidden to think any other way. They've been brainwashed. They were hit, had privileges taken away and were socially ostracized for non-Christian beliefs. This is what we have today. They can't help being the way they are>>> They weren't allowed to be any other way.
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
Victorine, your comment is the perfect example I was looking for. You reject the Bible, and I reject your claims.
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
Hulk, you have me confused. It is actually the Jehovah's Witness who are forbidden to think any other way. In my religious beliefs of a Seventh-Day Adventist, I can answer all sorts of questions: http://www.answerbag.com/profile Just because I do, it does not mean I can put Scripture aside. That's the whole idea of letting other people know what I believe in to use it as reference.
    • Linda Joy
Actually my heathen parents grounded me from going to church at one point in time. They were alcoholics.
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
Linda Joy, I first heard of the Gospel when I was in my teens. And being young, restless and reckless, I didn't take my religious beliefs seriously until I reached my 30's.
  • She doesn't know
    • Hulk70156
No she doesn't. lol. And I'm not going to tell her.
  • "Chose Life" from the Bible
    • Hulk70156
      There you go Murzy. Thanks!
  • id say if there's a God he is staying completely out of the covid debate ,cause billions of people would be praying to him to stop covid..and its just got worse , so whats that say ..
    • Jenny Rizzo is brilliant ⭐
Quote: "he is staying completely out of the covid debate ," Not precisely, that's why Christians are there as ambassadors of God. If you read the Bible, you would know that Satan is the god of this world by 2 Corinthians 4:4 meaning, Satan created the coronavirus. It has been prophesied, in the last days there will be diseases, hunger, rumors of war and the worst to come. All this must happen before Christ's return who will destroy the works of Satan and all sin in the world.
  • Protect lives with the vaccine.
  • I don't answer for God. He answers for Himself.
  • Life is precious. Chose life.
  • Gee, why don't we ask one of the thousands of people who claim to speak for God?
