What are the customers of a typical HK product inspection company, and where do they usually come from?

I have asked the same question to my friend working in the HKQCC. She said many of the customers are importers or small trading companies. Recently, there are many e-commerce sellers, especially those third party sellers of Amazon. Most of the customers are from US, UK, Europe and other western countries. The answer falls in line with my expectation. Since China and the Asian countries are still the key manufacturing centers for light industrial products, a HK-based product quality inspection company that conducts inspection in China and Asia certainly gets most of the customers from western countries. Moreover, as cross border e-commerce is becoming the very important business mode, many e-commerce players would need to protect themselves from quality issues when importing merchandises in bulk.
